Long Way Home by Melissa Grace is a beautiful tale about finding your happiness in the world. Both Jo and Derek had to work hard to overcome the guilt and fear in their lives in order to do what makes themselves happy. I appreciated how they each helped the other grow more comfortable in their own skins. The struggles that all the characters go through is so relatable. The love and friendship in this story is heartwarming. The little nuggets of advice were fantastic. Long Way Home was an emotional and amazing third installment in the Midnight In Dallas series!

How The Grump Saved Christmas by Claire Kingsley was a cute holiday Romance. I loved finally getting this story after the tease in Rewriting the Stars, The final Bailey Brother’s book. I found the parts about Isabelle and Elias past relationship to be tear inducing. Since it was set in a Christmas village, I was hoping for more holiday themed shenanigans. Which is kind of how I felt in general, I wanted more. I love Claire Kingsley’s books, but this once just didn’t hit me like the others. Overall, it was a cute and heartwarming Christmas romance, but it won’t be in my top ten Claire Kingsley favorites.

Operation: Free Fall by Charissa Gracyk was a fantastic final book in the Slater Security series. The way that Ivy and Finn have their lives become intertwined was exciting. I appreciated how Finn knew Ivy was his one, but gave her time to figure out how great they would be together. I loved how we got to see a side of Finn that we haven’t in the other Slater Security books. I loved that he was also more than just pilot extraordinaire. Overall, Operation: Free Fall is a fantastic summer adventure romance read!

Operation: Fire Bomb is maybe my new favorite Charissa Gracyk book! Dash may have edged out Dylan as my favorite. The adventures to all the different locations was fun to experience. The suspense around the T-Force and if Dash can get it in time was superb. I loved watching Lake become courageous and brave in the scary situations she encounters. I also loved how Dash opened up with Lake around. The Project Phoenix cameos were icing on an already great cast of characters. This book was spicy! I was there for all of it: the dance scene, Dash's dirty talking, and I'll not look at Nutella again without thinking of this book. Operation: Fire Bomb delivered and them some on a great story and I can't recommend it enough!

Bet The Farm by Staci Hart was a quirky and swoony romance. I loved how Olivia was such an optimist and always willing to help out those she cares about. Jake was such the protective Alpharoll. I definitely went into this story thinking it would catch my attention more. For some reason when I was reading the action packed scenes, I wasn't invested. The middle of the book just didn't keep me as hooked as I would have thought. I liked the farm setting and the way that Olivia helps bring profits to the farm. I also liked the secondary characters. So, overall while I liked the book and it was a fun story, it just didn't pull me in as deeply as I thought it might.
