Lauren Landish did a great job at develing into how past relationships can lead to second chances and accepting the people we love, scars and all. I was grateful that Allyson’s son wasn't just a side kid character who was just there. He played an important role in how Allyson and Bruce interacted with each other. He was included as an intrical part of the equation and I appreciated that. I also enjoyed all the scenes with Bruce’s family. His sister was a hoot.
The way that Allyson’s past after leaving Bruce is revealed was done well and helped the story along. I loved that Bruce just wanted to help Allyson be the happy free spirited person he knew she could become again. The intimate scenes between them were well written and fun. My only problem was that I felt like the middle moved really slow and it took a while to pick back up.

The Warrior King by Abigail Owen was such a good book! I love the bodyguard aspect, but how Samael still had to rely on Meira to help keep them both safe. I was surprised at the reason that brought them together and couldn't stop reading till I found out more about that situation. Meira's phoenix powers so unique and how she used them was fun to read. I'm still swooning over Meria and Samael's story. If you haven't read the Inferno Rising series yet, you are missing out! These dragon shifters and their phoenix mates are amazing!
I was honestly worried about how I would feel reading this story. I haven’t had good luck with dragon shifter romances these past couple years. This one was different. The characters had depth and the way they interacted with each other allowed them to become even more complex. The chemistry between Brand and Kasia was off the charts. I’m a bit surprised my book didn’t spontaneously combust in my hands. The world that Abigail Owen created is filled with interesting laws, species strife, and lots of intrigue. Brand and Kasia’s world and the problems they faced allowed them to grow as they dealt with the conflicts they encountered. I’m so excited that the second book will be released this month and I won’t have to wait long to continue reading this steamy series.
Rosie Chase has created a sweet romance. I loved this story premise and felt like the characters were diverse, but we were only scratching the surface of their personalities. I really felt that way about Michael. I would have loved to have seen a bit more depth from him. I also felt like there could have been a bit more conflict, like why didn’t any other baker have a problem with Sam or Michael when they started seeing each other? The intimate scenes between Michael and Sam were varied and oh so steamy! These two have such swoony moments together. I also really loved all the baking challenges. They inspired me to want to bake something fun and yummy. For a novella, this was a sweet story. I loved the idea and the romantic moments between the two characters
This friends-to-lovers romance was full of the story line and plot twists that I have come to love from Brittney Sahin. The suspense and intrigue around who the shooter was and why they tried to assassinate Knox’s father keep me wondering and trying to figure it out along with the STEALTH OPS team. However, Knox and Adriana didn’t seem to have the same heat as some of the other STEALTH OPS couples. I was also expecting more from Knox, since the build up around his past in the previous books was so mysterious. I did enjoy the interactions with Echo Team, which I helped build up my excitement for their upcoming stories. While this isn’t my favorite book in the STEALTH OPS series due to lack of heat between the two main characters, they story line and plot twists more than make up for them.
Brittney Sahin crafts masterful story lines and amazing characters that you can’t help but to fall in love with. I feel like each Stealth Ops book is more intense and wonderful than the last. I absolutely love Liam and Emily! Emily is such a strong, confident female and Liam is just the right amount of swoony Australian protector. The problems that Liam and Emily encounter trying to protect Elaina and uncover who put out the bounty and who is trying to claim it kept me guessing the whole time.
I can’t get enough of Brittney Sahin and her Stealth Ops world! I am ready to dive into the next book.
