Rough Love
by Lauren Landish
Lauren Landish did a great job at develing into how past relationships can lead to second chances and accepting the people we love, scars and all. I was grateful that Allyson’s son wasn't just a side kid character who was just there. He played an important role in how Allyson and Bruce interacted with each other. He was included as an intrical part of the equation and I appreciated that. I also enjoyed all the scenes with Bruce’s family. His sister was a hoot.
The way that Allyson’s past after leaving Bruce is revealed was done well and helped the story along. I loved that Bruce just wanted to help Allyson be the happy free spirited person he knew she could become again. The intimate scenes between them were well written and fun. My only problem was that I felt like the middle moved really slow and it took a while to pick back up.
