I think I liked it more because I listened to Jeremy Irons read it...highly recommend the audio if you plan to give this one a try.

I had to take this one in small doses. It certainly does a great job tackling a tough subject that should be discussed more openly. Overall, this was a well researched, albeit depressing, book with some nice illustrations.

I'll likely read through this again, just to soak in the symbolism and metaphors throughout this novella. And that ending certainly crept up on me. I believe this is a prime example of reading the perfect book at the right moment in your life. Being a parent has given me so much purpose and meaning and that likely plays a huge role in the affect this book had on me.

This was a beautiful book. Thoroughly enjoyed the focus on friendship and art.

I read this to my girls for bedtime. They rather enjoyed the story and illustrations.

I love Ben Hatke's artwork and this was a great start to an adventurous series.

My son and I have been reading these and he's just devouring them.

I laughed out loud several times, it was pretty good!
