I'll likely read through this again, just to soak in the symbolism and metaphors throughout this novella. And that ending certainly crept up on me. I believe this is a prime example of reading the perfect book at the right moment in your life. Being a parent has given me so much purpose and meaning and that likely plays a huge role in the affect this book had on me.
