This one was a little bloody for my taste. If they could tone back the graphic quality of many of the scenes I would have liked it a lot better. The overall story line was very interesting.

Martha Russel is recently widowed and is set to lose everything unless she miraculously finds herself pregnant with an heir. She decides to try and make it happenn after the fact with the delicious Theo. Theo is more than happy to help the lovely widow with her plan to have a baby - but didn't expect it to be so hard. Martha is dead set to dislike him and all the time they must spend together. He must find a way into her heart, because she quickly found a way into his.

Theo was an interesting character. Always talked about as a rogue, he had a very gentlemanly quality that he was almost afraid to let show. Martha was a bit annoying at times. She was so dead set against ever being happy, that she didn't really notice that she was. A few twists and turns to keep the reader interesting, but I wish there had been more development in Martha earlier in the book.

An interesting tale of the fall of the Tzars in Russia. Not told by any of the familiar characters, it is instead told by the daughter of Rasputin. Sent away to live with the young royals after her father is murdered, she presents an interesting viewpoint of what "really" happened when it all fell apart. One of the best historical fiction pieces I've read.

What happens when a ghost gets to watch what goes on in a special school for the "un" normal among us? Well read this to find out. Written journal style, Derek the Ghost tells us all what it's like in a school where you just may get eaten by a dinosaur if you get detention. A hilarious trip that any kid would love.

A fantastic new take on the Cinderella story - Lucinda lives with her aunt and uncle in a jewelry store where she meets the Amaranth Witch, a prince, and a young street urchin/con-artist. The three take her on a wild ride involving magic, destiny, and mistaken identities. A thoroughly enjoyable story all the way through.

When Yeats accidentally triggers a magical bookend, he finds himself stuck in the book The Arabian Nights - trying to rescue his father's old friend Shari - who think she's a character in thee book. An exciting adventure through tho old Middle East with plenty of magic and fighting to make anyone happy.

Charlotte Miller took over her family's mill when her father died. The mill has never had good luck, but the reasons behind it are quite interesting. Charlotte would do just about anything to save the mill, but when a stranger shows up telling her he can do the impossible if she only promises one thing in return. An in depth version of Rumplestiltskin with a very different twist at the end to keep you guessing what happens next.

Deacon is a hard-ass demon slayer that doesn't let anything interfere with getting the job done. Violet is an insecure woman who dreams of finding her one true love. When a incubus seems to fulfill her every desire Deacon is sent to destroy the demon, but Violet may not want to be saved. She will have to choose between an incubus, able to read and fulfill her every desire, and Deacon, a real man with real issues that will do anything to have her.

I really enjoyed watching Deacon and Violet meet each other. Their initial verbal exchange was so much fun to read. Even though their characters are totally different - they seemed to mesh so well. Things moved a little quickly and both were very accepting of such strange circumstances - but everything was finished off perfectly at the end.

I loved Jules Hume. She was a strong single mom - raised her daughter by herself - and had long ago decided that she could make it on her own and didn't need a man. She had sworn off love until she met Ian. Ian was a bit of a mystery, working odd hours, unearthly beautiful, and undeniably appealing. Jules is drawn to Ian and finds herself breaking the no need for love rule, but there is a good reason behind this....but I can't tell you or I might ruin the surprise.

My only real complaint about this book was with how easily Jules accepted the fact that Ian is a vampire. I don't think any person in their right mind would be able to just move on and live with that information the way Jules does, but then she is a special woman. There is a minor secondary romance between Jules' daughter and Ian's friend that at times added to the story, but at times it also drew too much attention away from the main characters. Parts of this story moved a bit fast for my taste, but most of it was drawn out just enough to have to turn the next page to find out what happened.

What would you do if your pencil made things happen? I mean big things - like make portals into another world. And what would happen if you developed a crush on a boy from said world who was supposed to "neutralize" you to get the pen (soul bound) out of your hands? Well, Story fights like hell to keep everything she wants and needs in her life. A great adventure with a bit of romance to liven things up.
