Tessa doesn't know what to think of herself. She's not quite human (coming from a family of vampires), but she's not quite vampire (no special abilities). She is caught stradling both worlds until one day her boyfriend disappears from a movie theater. She swears that a vampire is behind it. But hunting humans is banned. Her vampire family and friends are drawn into a mystery to find out who is behind all the missing humans, and their hunt leads them someplace very dangerous. Tessa is forced to come to terms with both sides of herself and find a way to save the people she cares about.
A slight BDSM virgin, I was amazed to see how quickly so many good books came out once Fifty paged the way. The Dark Garden has been receiving amazing reviews everywhere I looked, so I thought it would be a great way to get started. The story's main character is Rowan, a "top" or dominant who is approached by Christian and asked to give being a submissive a try. Rowan is instantly attracted to Christian, but doubts he will be able to make her enjoy the role change.
In addition to Rowan and Christian's story we get to meet April, a newbie to the BDSM world and a very deep submissive. She has been trying to catch the eye of a certain dominant, but isn't sure if once she does if it is a good thing or a bad thing.
The two stories merge and wind together with April and Rowan's friendship. They share many heart to hearts that helped me to understand the mindset behind both roles. This attempt at understanding and opening people's eyes was one of my favorite things about the entire book. Now, I don't want to underscore the amazing sex that both couples get to experience. Eden Bradley has quite a way with words in that respect.
My only real complaint about the book was the ending. It came up quickly and ended very abruptly for me. I would have liked to see the decisions made take a little more "action" and spread out over another couple chapters. I don't want to discourage anyone from reading these by any means. I plan on picking up a few of her books in a vampire BDSM series soon.

Word of warning - Flint was never one of my favorite characters. However, this book really changed my mind about him. A different side of Flint was shown as he romps about the underground dwarven kingdoms with an evil dwarf turned good and band of gully dwarves (the not so bright side of the dwarven family tree). It was great to see a more humorous and gentle side to the always stoic character.
Paula Whitmore isn't expecting much when she returns home with her daughter after her mother gets sick. She certainly doesn't expect to be caught up in the dealings of a coven of witches.
A very exciting and dramatic story of what people will do to get what they want, and a look at whether or not the price was really worth it.

Tanis is a favorite character of mine from DragonLance. This book did not disappoint, it only made his story better. Taking a trip back in memory, and perhaps time, Tanis takes up an unusal request from a dieing mage. The request seems to only get more and more complicated as the story develops. With a sweet and touching ending, it was a great addition to Tanis and the DragonLance series.
This is one of the best books I have read since joining the Bitten team. The story of Tandie Harrison and the house known as Chelby Rose is intriguing and beautiful. Tandie is a lost psychic and well known author. She feels called to the Chelby Rose and hopes it will help her find her way back to her visions and into a new life. Tandie gets all she wishes for and more when she finds herself caught up in a 300 year old curse. Eric Fontalvo is hired to help Tandie clean the Chelby Rose up and bring her back to her once glorious appearance. But Eric's family is the one that is cursed. Tandie and Eric need to find a way to break the curse to help the Chelby Rose, themselves, and the entire area.
While this wasn't a scorcher with lots of heated scenes, the underlying love that grows between Tandie and Eric is amazing. Their relationship doesn't come wham-bam-thank-you-mam style, but slowly grows and develops as they both feel an irresistable pull to spend time together. With many qualities you find in a good paranormal thriller, the curse takes on a life of its own, blurring the line between the real world and the spirit world. It's time for the curse to be broken, but will Eric and Tandie find a way in time.
The writing of Hacienda Moon was fun to read. The world came alive (along with the ghosts of the past) and the story unfolded in an amazing and natural way. I was very excited by the ending and couldn't put it down to save my life!!!

Mira and Xander are shape-shifting twins whose destiny has yet to be shown to them. They must decide if the will follow the way of the good guys or the evil demons and warlocks. Mira longs to join the good, while Xander longs to be bad....both for the sake of love. But their destiny is tied together, and they must chose together. Which fate will they decide?
A nice and fun, quick read. Marked introduces us to the twins, Mira and Xander, who play a large role in the novel, Two Halves (review up in a couple days). It sets the world and the rules in a fun and exciting way.

Imagine being able to feel your soulmate - your hearts beat the same, you know what the other is thinking, you can't imagine life without them - and then finding out that you can never be together. Sarah and William were destined to be together from birth, but were forced apart to save their lives. A rare form of half-breed that will change the world, either for the better or for the worse. The twins from Marked are set to guard Sarah through her life and protect her fro the demons trying to find her. It was great to see their interactions again.
While most of the steamy scenes didn't go "all the way", they certainly left you wanting more and wishing that Sarah and William could find a way to be together. Throw in some nasty demons and a few recurring bad guys from Marked, and you have quite the trill ride. Full of exotic locations and great action, this was a great book.

An amazing take on Little Red Riding Hood - with a deadly twist. Rosie and Scarlett are sisters that have dedicated their lives to fighting the fenris - a deadly race of werewolves that hunt young girls, especially ones wearing red. When Rosie finds herself drawn to a woodsman, Silas, the bond between the sisters begins to feel the strain. When the three decide to take on a major "sting" in the big city, hoping to take down a large gathering of the fenris things get really interesting. Fun and full of action, Sisters Red is a must read for lovers of fairy tale re-tellings.
The blurb about this really caught my eye and being a fan of Alice in Wonderland, I couldn't resist picking it up. It delivered on so many different ways, I'm not even sure where to begin. Contained a little bit of everything, from bondage and light whipping, to oral, to sex chairs, there was a way it made it seem so very normal and everyday.
I have heard some people say it's not a serious romance, and I would very much disagree with them. Alice, her boyfriend Louis, and their sexual problems are what leads Alice to Wonderland to begin with and the ending was quite a satisfying conclusion. The subject is handled with quite a bit of humor and the occassional pun (yes, pun). It had me laughing, blushing, and considering deep thoughts all at the same time. It takes some talented storytelling to accomplish that.
You get to meet all the classic characters, attend a tea party, and even play croquet with the Queen. I only wish I already owned the second in the series so I could have jumped right into it. If you are looking for a fun non-threatening look at the BDSM world, this is the perfect read for you.
