If you asked me to name top 5 villains of Batman both Joker AND Riddler would be on my list. While Joker is insane and his unpredictable tactics make him interesting, Riddler cold calculated, overbearing personality makes him almost as equally interesting. Put them together and at each other throats? Now that...that sounds like a book made for me.

The story starts with Bruce speaking with Selina and telling her what happen years ago. When Joker couldn't laugh anymore and Riddler couldn't solve the puzzle on Batman, and when Riddler offered to work together with Joker, and instead Joker shot him and started the war in Gotham. Instead of chasing the Bats they decided to go after each other to take control of gotham and THEN kill the Bats. For a anyone else this would be a way to get rid of your villains but you know Batman, he can't let that shit fly.

Good: I honestly enjoyed the fuck out of anything with Kite Man in here. Talk about a character I never cared about and turning him into someone I can get behind. HELL YEAH! But really...what happens to him and his family is tragic and really well done. Not in a overly cheesy way, I actually felt for this character, and I loved it.

I also really dug the idea of the way. I know a lot of people probably wanted to see more action but I just loved seeing how Gotham was being picked apart and you caught glimpses of the war. The Deadshot/Slade moment was a highlight and the breaking point for Bruce which came across as wonderful.

I also loved how sinister and dark joker was here. What he's capable of without his "hahahaha" attitude all the time. It reminded me of "Joker" from years ago made by Brain but not as boring. I also really enjoyed Riddler here and his way of going at war was pretty smart and actually interesting.

The ending was a nice touch and can't wait to see the future for Batman.

Bad: The Dinner scene. I mean, I know where in a world with flying aliens, walking talking croc, and a dude named Kite Man. Still...the dinner scene was a bit too much of a stretch. Why not just murder each other there? They're fucking killers. Especially how cold joker is, felt just dumb. This was the only issue I didn't enjoy.

Overall a very very solid entry into the Batman world. In fact I'll say this is probably my favorite arc Tom King has done. I know his run isn't for everyone (and I HATED I am suicide!) but I am Bane was really fun for me and this one was legitimately great. I love when we look away from just Batman and see the world of Gotham. I want more. Nice job king!

After LOVING Max's take on Foolkiller I decided to try Max's other Marvel work.

Worst X-Man Ever is a spin-off, or elseworld, where a boy finds out what his mutant power is. After having nothing special about him he's ready to explode into the world of the X-men! Except his power is exploding...as in BOOM but then he dies...like that's it. So he works with the X-Men, mostly the new kids, trying to help even though his power has nothing to do with it.

Good: I really enjoyed the start and thought the idea was fun and smart. The ending is also downright fucked up and gotta give em guts for atleast trying to go with that.

Bad: Didn't like the way most of the side characters acted, everyone acted out of character. I also thought the fights were uneventful, the art in general kind of boring, and the pacing sure did have huge issues. Especially on issue 3-4.

Overall it was a okayish story. Not bad but I won't remember it. Either way I hope Max's run of Moonknight is more like Foolkiller and less like Worst X-Man Ever.

I wasn't able to read this before volume 3 because for a long time this was out of stock. However, found a copy for 3 bucks. YAY!

So this one is a jumbled mess. I mean spawn has a hard time keeping a straight storyline to begin with but this one is ALL over the place. You have one pretty interesting story with Spawn dealing with his past and talking to his bum buddies. However the rest are just typical 90's, over the top action, blood, and gore. This is the weakest of the series so far and I'ma have to land it at a 2/5.

I really need to just read these in a row. Actually, with how many characters and how much shit happens I might not understand what is happening ANYWAY.

So is this one the cast of characters get larger. We find out they're on a mission to...kill the leader? Well kill the leader's son. But you're like "Wait I thought this was teenager story" and it is. But the adults do so much shady shit, that when the kids come in, and they shady, shit gets shadier...yeah. So everytime we get answer another question pops up. Right now we still don't know with all the time traveling and such who is dead and staying dead but we know who's hunting who. Least on the surface level.

Good: I still oddly find this series very captivating. Like Highly enjoyable despite not keeping up with what the fuck is happening. People dying, people betraying each other, but it still remains interesting. Also the art is getting better and the fights and big climax moments are hitting home.

Bad: WAY too many characters. It's hard to keep up (or care) with this many. Like you want to like them, but some look to similar, some look like the one you thought died, people dying but you forgot who they are. yeah, just jumble mess of way too much shit going on and feels like it's being stretched out.

Overall it's still fun and interesting but it's hard to stay attached to anyone in particular. Maybe cause everyone is a asshole but also the story is starting to test me just a bit on where the hell it's going.

Archie Archie Archie. I can't believe I'm really reading a Archie book but here I am.

So Archie is now with Veronica. Things are just getting...well...kind of not great. See Ronnie (nickname) is very rich. Archie? Not so much. So Archie is dealing with that. His feelings for Betty are still there. Betty feels the same. However Archie is also dealing with Ronnie's father who's a rich piece of shit who hates Archie cause he destroyed his business. So around and around we go in the next few days of Archie's life!

Good: The chemistry between the characters is all really playful and fun. i love the style in which each issue is broken into chapters. When Archie speaks to the audience it's always fun. I also think they way they resolve issues is nice as it's not always so proper and clean.

Bad: Sometimes the art looks really off. I mean it's still not nearly as amazing as when Fiona Staples was doing it. I want her back <3 I also think the book jumps a lot and sometimes leaves issues unresolved or like "Well that's good enough" and some slang feels outdated here.

Overall Archie remains a fun read. I think I enjoyed the first volume more but this is still enjoyable. I really hope Archie gets with Betty. You all know he loves her so much, don't be a fool man! Even though Ronnie is hot as hell too. Okay that's enough.

THIS IS IT!!!!

THE FINAL WAR!!!!

THE DEATH OF ALL THINGS!!!

These last two volumes coming out (this one being part 1) wrap up Robert's run on Invincible. Will they make more? Maybe one day. This is Robert's goodbye to the series though. How is it? Well...

We have Mark finally decide to go after Thragg and finish this fight. After the loss of his brother in the last volume it's time to FINISH it! His dad decides to tag along and off they go with Allen the alien to stop Thragg and his forces. This time though they bring a fleet with them only to change plans last minute.

Good: This is a bloody big war. Some of the fights are fucking insane. The blood, the fights, the massive scale is extremely impressive. The tender moments with the daughter and mark's mom are great break from the intense war. The final confrontation in this book is both amazing and heartbreaking even if you know it's coming. Also how awesome was that one panel of mark taking on like 15 of Thragg's children? badass!

Bad: It does feel slightly rushed. I mean it's bombastic in action but the emotional level isn't as high as say the Conquest fight and that's a shame. It should be as epic.

Overall I love this volume. It's a quick read, really the pages being eaten up by the epic fights that this one contains. The title spells it out, the end of all things, and sadly Invincible is nearly done. Now I'ma go cry in the corner knowing the last volume is less than 6 months away.

This might be the biggest surprise of the year for me when comes to comics. The chilling Adventures of Sabrina are actually chilling.

So Sabrina starts off screwed up. Her father wants to take the baby from her mother. Sabrina's mother tries to run but is hunted and when the baby is ripped from her arms she is turned into basically a vegetable. Then you get a little bit of fun learning who Sabrina is and we get to her teenage years. Then you find out what she must do to become a witch (basically meet Satan) then a evil witch is hunting her behind the scenes, people die, blood is spilled, and shit gets fucking twisted.

Good: Love the dialog. Easy to follow, intriguing, well told, everything just fits perfect. The art is really well down, giving a very scary, weird, dark and moody atmosphere throughout. The shocking events are truly fucked up and people die on a whim. I also love the evil witch as she is a true screwed up witch ready to hurt Sabrina in many ways.

Bad: I didn't love having the Riverdale girls here. V and betty seemed odd here. Their purpose just to help create the evil character.

Overall this was REALLY good. I hope this series continues to be good. This is something I will keep buying sure!

I think I've come to dislike most of Steve Orlando's stuff. It's not that he's a HORRIBLE writer but he's one I just don't connect to at all. Like on any level for any comics. Anyway, on to Justice League of America.

Biggest question is why was this made? You know, besides obviously having Batman as the team leader and trying to make some profit on the comic. Introduce a bunch of C and D level heroes on the team and some nobody really likes but pretends to like Lobo and you have a grade A pile of shit. JLA is everything you want to get away from in superhero comics. A new set of villains come, cliche as possible, claiming the world needs order or some blah blah shit. So Batman like nah buddy, we gonna stop you. Aveng-- I mean Justice League, but only of America, unite!

Good: The art is okay? The first issue was half way decent introduction to everyone.

Bad: The awful cliche story feels like a left over plot that nobody wanted to write. The characters are boring, with Batman's self entitled one liners, and a bunch of nobodies. They don't even have the real Atom and Lobo is a joke. The fights are pretty much bare bones the same shit you see in every comic. Actually, this is made for comic fans who don't want anything exciting. Things like Omegamen or Vision? Blah! SUPER FIGHTS! You know. I could enjoy even a big dumb fight book but least have characters with decent dialog. This misses the mark big time.

Overall a crappy comic not worth anyone's time. Equally as bad as Justice League itself. DC, fix your flagship titles man.

Damn this is so goddamn fun! I love these kids. I want my future kids to be these kids.

So most people know Damien, the son of batman. Think a young, ignorant, little piece of shit, with the sickest burns around town. Then got Jon who is Clark's son who follows his footsteps. This volume is mostly one big story, a boys night out, where Damien drags Jon into a big fight against a kid who can split himself up and create copies of other people. Also contains a one shot of Jon coming to terms with accepting he's moving away from the farm and Damien comforting him by fighting? Yea, you now 12-13 year old boys.

Good: Loooooove the dialog between the boys. They are wonderful together and some amazing moments of them whooping ass. The art is top notch and grabs the style perfectly for them. The last issue is probably my favorite when you see they really are just kids. The action is also great!

Bad: The main villain, while screwed up, is kind of boring. I really didn't care much about if he died or live even if his sister was cool.

Overall this is a GREAT first volume. Charming, fun, and exciting. I really hope this series stays for awhile. Super Sons is easily top 5 DC titles right now.

Wow this is tettering towards a 1 but I'ma give it a 2 cause the art is half way decent and I still think the dialog can be good.

So right off the bat this volume is messy. Got the Stand Off event from Marvel that has the Avengers come into the village but most are broken up from each other, the ones who remain aren't really that interesting, and then we get back to the real world. Except this volume mostly focuses on should we "trust" vision? Is he still bad? Does the team get along? Things like that.

Good: The art and the dialog between some characters is fun and enjoyable.

Bad: The entire plot is missing any type of themes or richness to it. I'm surprised Waid is writing this because he's far better than this. Also the volume is messy and multiple stories in one that don't connect in any real way.

Overall a big miss. I want better from the main avenger title for sure. This is a 1.5 out of 5.
