This wasn't as good as the last volume. However, when saying that every single volume is still solid, good, great, or amazing. Anyway, let's talk about this volume.

The first half we get a lot of information about the 2000 year. The big robot, the big showdown, and shit is about to go DOWN. Right before it does the second half jumps into the future and we get more time with our favorite school girl Kyoko and her time with Friends. She has to go to their camp where they basically brainwash you.

Good: The first half is fun and exciting. Building up to the BIG fight inside the robot. Who dies? Who lives? We need to know! Also some of the creepiness in the Friends land is scary as fuck. Like legit Nazi shit.

Bad: Kyoko is just a little boring. I don't feel much about her. I also didn't like the second half pacing as it took awhile to build up.

Overall this is a fun volume but probably the weakest. Saying that it's still solid. Time to jump into book 9!

I don't think I read one thing I disliked from Brad Meltzer. He's a pretty awesome comic writer. So sad he doesn't have a huge amount of written products but this was another highlight for me.

So Oliver is back in the living world. Roy comes to visit his father figure and they decide to go on an adventure. At first the story is very mysterious but as it goes on you begin to gather what Oliver is after. Him collecting objects of his past and him kinda going down memory lane. If Kevin did the job of bringing Ollie back and giving him a fresh look and feel, Brad wanted to give a goodbye to the past, with some hints to the future.

Good: Everything with Roy and Oliver was great. Their dialog was playful but meaningful. The moments with his son really hit home. Oliver is a interesting person and not so easy to pinpoint who he is in terms of his views. Loved his moment with Black Canary at the end too. Really any human interactions were great.

Bad: The moments with Grody felt forced in. Like "We have to have a fight so...FIGHT!" there was almost no other action moments and that's because the rest was far more compelling.

Overall Green Arrow volume 3 is damn good, just as good as volume 1-2. I'm really excited to read the rest of this series now that I have in. It's no wonder Green Arrow is alot of people's favorite hero, he's slowly climbing up to my top 5 DC heroes.

So Silk is something I never really read before. I knew who she was, kind of? I haven't read Spider-verse but I gathered the Spider-family (similar to another Family from a different company) came from it. Except instead of everyone being brooding sexy heroes we have a lot of lip-smacking heroes who all have similar features to Peter.

Silk is now part of the 616 and guess what? She's working undercover for Shield (or mockingjay) working with Blackcat to take down the Goblin Nation! Sounds exciting huh? Well in the middle of all that fighting we also have Cindy (Silk) dealing with real life issues like her busy work life at the daily bugle (Someone has to after Peter dipped)and her buddies at work.

Good: I liked Cindy. She's cute, funny, and somewhat badass. Her costume is also on point. Sexy much? The first issues art is really solid too. I also enjoyed seeing Spider-woman and mockingjay showing up.

Bad: The fights weren't all that interesting. The art took a serious dip after issue 1. The side characters are also really really dull. The plot is typical superhero blah.

Overall not a horrible first issue but not great. I'ma go with a 2.5. It could def be better. But I'll give volume 2 a go.

Got about half way before giving up. Not my kind of book. Art is nice but the dialog is really "teeny" type and nothing interesting was happening. Owells, not for everyone!

Well I can say I enjoyed this more than the last volume...however, I didn't like the last one very much. I thought it was just WAY too silly. This volume decides to mix it up with Standoff. What's that? The big event of the summer! That's what it says. Basically there's a little girl who is the cosmic cube and she is a bit...unhinged. So when villains try to hunt for her, and heroes go after her, shit goes down! DUH!

This volume focuses mostly on Sam and his place as Captain America. On the side we have Steve here and Bucky. If you didn't know when Steve died Bucky took over the mantle. Now Sam is the one to hold it up. Together they must take down the baddies before they kidnap a little girl who can alter reality!

Good: Well watching Sam, Bucky, and Steve together is great. They are different but they have similar ideas and of course have worked together many times. They are friends afterall. I also enjoyed watching Sam come to terms with Steve after their fight. The standoff event wasn't half bad either, the little cube girl was interesting anyway, and got some good laughs with the Avengers.

Bad: The event was overly long though and by the end you feel like it's just another big brawl and the heroes win. There were no real stakes in this one. I also thought the focus was barely on Sam. For the most part this was much more about Steve. Odd choice to have him as the lead really.

Overall it was entertaining good fun. It was the dialog between the three Caps that made this a fun enough issue. However, overall, it wasn't the greatness they COULD do with Sam. Sam deserves to be in something great...GIVE IT TO HIM!

Politics. Everyone hates them. Everyone argues about them. No one seems to agree. You're a Nazi. You're a Libtard. Whatever you want to call it. Funny enough most people probably feel like Sam these days. Bombarded with it yet trying to sort through it.

This is the first volume I really think takes the name Captain America for Sam's run and gives it meaning and thought behind it. Sam isn't having a very good time as the "new" Captain America. James Rhodes has died. So Sam meets up with the few black superheroes around. It's almost scary how few there really are (and these are the "popular" ones compared to the shit ton of heroes who show up at the actual funeral.

However, this connects to Civil War 2 storyline to show where Sam usually is. Stuck in the middle. On top of that he has to deal with a new police force, Americanpolice or whatever there name is. If you haven't guessed, they are super strict and pretty much harasses anyone, not just criminals. Then you have some two bit Cap named John Walker. Never even heard of him, or can't remember him, but he also disagrees with Sam's views and tries to take back the shield.

Good: Love, love, love the whole background story of what's really happening. Who's really pulling the strings. I also thought the fights were really well done this time and extremely entertaining. My favorite moment is when the officer grabs Sam and you can see him trying his best not to smack the shit out of them. I also like how Sam is really in the middle of it all. He doesn't agree with the violent moments Rage and the community is going for, but he won't stand for the cops beating down people in his neighborhood because they're selling bootlegs.

Bad: Some of it comes off across too strong and obvious. I understood it, and trust me, I agree far more with Sam's point of views. However, the evil side come across as far too evil at times. Even though they do sound like my dad, so there's that lol.

Overall I really enjoyed this issue. Unlike most people I think Captain America comics should ALWAYS be political. I love it. If I agree or disagree with the politics it's trying to say that's something different. However, the idea behind Cap, is it's always political. It's why I LOVE Ed's run so much. It's a political thriller. Overall this is Sam's best outing as the Captain America we've got so far. I hope the series finishes decent. A 3.5 out of 5.

Spawn remains consistently fun if not silly. This one is more broken up than the previous, feeling like separate stories throughout.

We have a couple here. A one shot of Devestator talking about his past. We also have a storyline of spawn. Next up is the Anti-spawn storyline which shows a guy who's basically given the powers of the gods. Meaning holy powers > spawn's devil powers. Last but not least we have a story of Spawn meeting Hudini and learning more about his magical powers.

Good: I really enjoyed the last two issues about Hudini and their training (kind of) and the storyline in that with Terry was fun too. I also dug the first issue as the Devestator is pretty funny. That dumb clown is just disgusting but get a good laugh out of him.

Bad: The Anti-Spawn storyline is okay at best. It's cheesy dialog + bad pacing + predicable superhero fighting.

Overall Spawn remains fun though flawed. That's fine with me, I expected nothing less. On to the next one!

Man, the ending really hits hard. I know some people on here who are my friends will roll their eyes at me but I'm big on calling out police brutality. Maybe because I've seen my stepdad treated like shit so many times because the color of his skin (and note even just by a white cop) that it really bugs the shit out of me but yeah...this ending. Saying that It's kind of insane how uneven this series is. Sometimes I actually LOVE what it's talking about. Sometimes, it's so goofy, I wonder if it's the same writer.

So this has a few stories in here. First one is about the New Falcon and Rage going to an event hosted by a white spokesman who's speaking out against the new Captain America and illegal immigrants. Sounds familiar? Just click on your Facebook, CNN, or Fox News. Next we have a one shot (kind of funny) story of wrestling. Then we have a one shot of Misty Knight being Captain America for a day. Then we end with Sam and Rage teaming up to stop some baddies and resulting in Rage trying to stop two supervillians, them escaping, and then is brutally beaten down by the new Americops and thrown in jail.

Good: I really thought the last two issues were very strong. It goes to show you how angry and frustrating it is to be used by the system based on prejudgemental thoughts. Not to mention Sam's own reflection in the mirror of his younger days kind of hits home. Also love how goddamn evil Cap is in the end because of his words. I also really enjoyed the first issue as it dealt with the crazy extreme left wing side. They even screaming Safe Space jokes...it's pretty scary (hey I lean more left, but I can fully admit some are fucking nuts too)

Bad: The goofy wrestling issue and the misty knight issue aren't terrible but really really feel like filler. I kind of began skimming over the Misty story because it was kind of too eye rolling.

I really enjoyed this for the most part. Sure some filler but it started strong and ended even stronger. I know not everyone will enjoy the politics in stories but I do. Especially when they can relate to characters you enjoy. Another 3.5 out of 5.

This last volume wraps up the Big Time run Dan was on.

Now, if you look at all my ratings, I didn't love it. It was all over the place. The tone felt like it struggle to find it's place. Dan has strengths but also weaknesses (as does every writer) and Big time, being so long, shows both a lot.

So we have a story about Lizard. Remember him? You should. That motherfucker was horrifying last time. I mean he ate (spoiler) his own SON. Wtf? So this time he's back and Spider-man has to stop him. Then we have Alpha. A new kid with amazing powers who got them by accident thanks to Peter's experiment. Sounds familiar? Yep. Last story is about the Hobgoblins. Yes, with a S. The original returns and the two face off, or team up? OH NO!

Good: I really enjoyed the Lizard story. I actually love what they can do with the Lizard. Dan does a very solid job of making him sympathetic. Also gotta love the Hobgoblin story. Dan has one super strong positive this run, his new Hobgoblin has been soooooo fun. He's like a mix of old goblin but a out of control, very angry, little fuck. It works on so many levels. Watching two face off? Even better.

Bad: I thought the alpha story was easily the weakest. I understood Dan was trying to put Alpha and Peter next to each other to show how Peter COULD have been if he used his powers in public and showed who he was. However, I never liked Alpha. And I know Dan was doing that on purpose but I cared nothing about him. Not to mention last few issues are mostly just about him (and a spoiler to the next event) so yeah...was okay.

Overall this was a stronger volume than last one. I wish I could say it's been amazing but it hasn't. Dan def hits some very strong moments but filled with really odd moments and a lot of times I can't stand Peter. He's just not well done where's the side cast, especially villains, are. So a 2.5 out of 5 but I'll go with a 3 cause I did enjoy it more than disliked it.

So all the Big Time leads to this. Does it pay off? I fucking THINK SO!

Okay this doesn't forgive the weakness Big Time had but this my friends is how you wrap up a run and get excited for the next.

The opening issue has Peter really happy and upbeat. He even tells MJ they need to get back together. Then he gets a notice from the Avengers that Otto is asking for him. So he goes to visit him at prison and you find out...PETER AND OTTO MIND IS SWITCHED!!! So you expect the cliche Peter figuring out a way to get back into his own body but nope...as you know superior spider-man is all about otto becoming spider-man but with a twist...he has all the feelings, emotions, and memories of Peter Parker!

Good: Villains are Dan's strengths and damn it, Otto is scary here. Smart as Peter, they go head to head on planning and trying to outsmart each other. The ending is both touching, emotional, and heartbreaking yet gets you hyped for what's next. The art is very solid as well with some great action moments. The stakes feel high at all times and it's a exciting 3 issues (last one being 90+ pages)

Bad: MJ not thinking something is wrong is odd...also the villains helping Otto was kind of out of nowhere. I mean I know why, but it's like those guys broke Otto (well Peter in Otto body) should have been stopped by Avengers right away. Just way to odd.

Overall this was a great volume. Really just non-stop action and a nice farewell to a character we've known years. Now I can finally jump into superior and I'm so f'ing ready!
