Really enjoyable, just disjointed.

We start off with Damien's origins. It's similar to Morrison's take except get a little bit more of a inside look at Damien's views. I also really dug the fact you see Damien always thought his father special yet never shows him that when he meets him.

The whole new bad guy, I even forgot his name, is forgettable. He's basically dying and wants Batman to suffer. Nothing new here. What helps these issues is Damien making his mark on the other Robin's from the past. We always knew damien was on the same level as most Robins, more ruthless anyway, but it was nice to see all their personalities clash. I especially like Nightwing and his interaction because of their past it hits home the most.

The ending I guess is like a tie in to death of the family, but it's kind of boring. I liked Damien being smart and using tactics like his father but the end kind of felt forced tbh. I didn't feel the emotional draw.

Overall the art is still top notch, and I enjoy Damien's growth and character interaction, we just didn't have a great villain like last volume.

This was okay.

Basically Wolverine from Old Man Logan is here to kill people. If you didn't read Old Man Logan go read it. It's stupid as fuck but also really really fun. So now that Wolverine is in the regular world he starts killing people who screwed him over. That works out not so well as one guy isn't even there, Hulk isn't Bruce, and later on he finds out he's dead.

Kind of fucked up huh Wolvie?

The volume ends on a sour note and now we wonder what Wolverine's life will be. Sadly I don't care much about him but I'll keep reading to see his interactions. The one with hawkeye alone was worth it. I don't think this series can live very long though. Maybe 3 volumes max.

It's over and now I am sad...because Sunstone was a wonderful mix of love and friendship plus a little (okay a lot) of sex. It's sad to see it go but it feels really well done for a ending.

The last book ended in heartbreak. What were we going to do with Ally and Lisa! Will they break up? NO Can't be! We saw them married so that must be a lie. It opens up with them not speaking with each other and trust me, it's not a easy fix. When you say shit to someone and it sticks, it hurts, and it's not so easy to recover.

My one major issue was the fact it felt a bit of a drag to read at times. This volume is huge, way bigger than the previous ones, and you feel it. Some stuff I probably could have lived without like the self loathing lisa.

However everyone getting together, seeing them happy, made me happy. I especially like what happened to Anne and glad to see she'll have a spin-off of sorts. There's a lot of great moments at the end that made me smile the whole time.

I love this series and really can't recommend it enough. Even at it's worst it's good, but at it's best, it's truly amazing. Go start reading right now!

FUN!

Sometimes you just want a little fun time right? This is that fun time I love having in comics. Next to Superman Rebirth volume 1 this is my favorite new comic of the year (Daytripper is my only other 5 star. Please go read that)

So Luke is helping Iron-fist out. Iron Fist all like "Bro, we gotta be a team again! Iron Fist and Power Man!" and Luke it like "Nah man that ain't me" but of course once they begin getting mixed up with a magical jewel that turns people into demons shit gets hairy and Power Man and Iron Fist are coming to the rescue!

Listen, we can sit back and pick details on what didn't work. But honestly I loved it from start to end. The artwork is perfect for this series. The dialog is perfection, I mean I laughed a bunch of times when Luke and Danny go back and forth (and Black Mariah made me LOL a few times as well) And the plot was interesting enough to keep going. Issue 5 sold me even more when a mistake fight happens and we have tons of different ways on "how it happened" and it made me laugh so much, just too funny.

So yes. Is Power Man and Iron Fist worth reading? Right the fuck now!? YES! So get off ya ass, hit that Marvel Unlimited App (or buy it on Amazon, I know I will) and check it out. Power Man and Iron Fist are back yo!

I love reading about Seriel Killers.

Weird huh? I guess I'm always intrigued by them. Creatures who love to kill. It's not for food or to survive, it's simply because it "feels" good. So when I had the chance to read My Friend Dahmer I jumped on it. I was a bit let down but overall still worth reading.

The good comes from the background of it all. To know Dahmer as a kid, a broken kid, and watching his childhood is pretty amazing. A little too scary at times but this is how it really is. The killers hide behind a kind mask. This is what My Friend Dahmer shows off so well. It's disgusting, sick, and amazing to view all at once. I also enjoyed watching the dark fall of Dahmer, and didn't seem to just jump to killer.

I didn't love the art tbh. I get it, it's very cartoony, yet dark, and yet I couldn't really get into it. A lot of characters looked the same with the exception of glasses or hair. I just wasn't feeling the overall look of it. I also thought some of the dialog is forced and sounds fake. Like kids do NOT speak like that. Which is weird on this subject because can really show how kids talk, would have gave it a more "real" feel.

Overall it's still a solid read. Really get to see a kid go to a path no one wants to go to. Could anyone have stopped it? Chances now. You are who you are. However it was nice to see some backing of childhood for a person as derange and scary as Dahmer.

Wow...I love Sam.

This was so damn boring.

I get the idea behind it. I actually love internal thoughts from heroes. Sam is especially interesting and a lot of his opinions side with mine so I always enjoy that. HOWEVER, one big issue is this, too much dialog can be a bad thing. Things don't need to be explained for everything you did or will do. You can just show it, or let the art do it's part, but WAY too much dialog can drive anyone crazy.

Then we got a lot of goofy stuff here like the return of wolf cap...it's not funny. It's not entertaining. It's just stupid. It's a waste of an issue and I facepalm throughout this entire portion. I love goofy fun stuff, but not when it's dumb and filler.

Overall the art is all over the place too. Sometimes love it, sometimes the faces look distorted and odd.

I'll be going with a 1.5-2 on this one. It's not very entertaining and I won't be reading past this unless it somehow gets way better.

This wasn't half bad. After a very entertaining first volume and a very very very stupid second volume I wasn't sure where I'd land with this one. I was right in the middle.

I liked that they closed up the story in a satisfying matter. The new characters introduced worked well and it made for a fun story. I also loved some moments with Hit girl and especially with her mother. I also enjoyed watching Dave grow up and see what's important in life.

On the flipside a little to much killing and death for no reason, like volume 2. I also disliked the turn for Chris and it made no sense. I also HATED the new "bad guys" in here because they were all just meh.

Overall though I had fun with this bloody adventure. It's a little too long and five issues would have been enough but I had an enjoyable time for the most part.

Let me be clear, as what this graphic novel stands for and the donations towards it all this is a 10/5. This is special. This is something only goodhearted people can create.

Now the stories.

Some of them just didn't connect. Some felt a bit repetitve. I get that, it's supposed to be the writers own views on it, but some just didn't gel well with me. I didn't feel like they had the right mindset. Also some didn't connect on the level of the events and what happened for me.

On the flipside the good is the art for the most part is amazing. I really loved a lot of the stories here, especially the "white angry writer who doesn't know what to write" because it's similar to my view points, also the dog one killed me, I loved the one about mom and son, and even the Batman one was great when he visited the crime scene.

Listen this is worth buying for the fact of where your money is going to a good cause AND the meaning behind it. It's not perfect but it's a wonderful tribute for the most part. Please do buy it and see which stories connect for you.

I figured it out! Tom King is writing Batman like he's Grant Morrison. Now I know why I'm not liking it as much.

Okay maybe a 2.5...but that's mostly because of Cat Women arc which was entertaining if not a bit repetitive. However let's discuss "I Am Suicide"

The first few pages start out real interesting. Bane is scary as fuck, get a little history, get to know the man. Then we switch to Batman assembling a team of misfits to take down Bane. Cool huh? intriguing huh? Exciting huh? Well then it just takes a weird turn to dialog being repeated 5-6 times a issue, everyone acting out of character, and Godawful ending to the arc. I hated this arc after the first issue. Also I believe Batman might be kind of...stupid? What the fuck.

The Roofs arc, with Catwoman is pretty good. It shows their relationship and changes a history of the characters a bit. The dialog felt much more natural between the two than the previous 4 issues and I enjoyed the art of both issues a lot. It didn't amaze me but it was satisfying and would give it about a 3. However since I am Suicide is one of the worst batman arcs I read since RIP or Black Glove this sadly doesn't go higher than a 2 or 2.5.
