Getting to the end of the series now.

This is another tournament start. First we deal with the 3 demon kings and only one will rule everything. Yusuke decides to settle this matter after his pops passes away to begin a tournament. So we rush right into it and by the end we already witnessed a few matches. This is obviously Togashi ready to leave this title. Some panels are half drawn characters, really sketchy, and you can tell he was burnt out. I still enjoy it but it feels very rushed.

A 3 out of 5.

One of the most beautiful and downright fucked up looking books.

I really love Jones style in art. Brutal as hell with knifes through every part of the body, hammers to your jaw, eyes ripped out. Some great stuff. And Jones writes a hell of a main character who will fuck you up. Think James Bond, but way sexier, and more brutal than he could ever be. And you have our story of a hired killer.

But really, the story feels a bit over the top too much. The first half which I read years ago still holds up as a fun bloody romp. The second story feels like it'll never fully be completed with a big cliffhanging moment and a brutal murder of a main character that went sour way to quick.

But overall, this huge collection worth viewing for the art alone, 5 out of 5. The story, a 3 out of 5. So 4 out of 5 it gets.

I have mixed feelings about this.

The big twist is pretty easy to see coming. The main character here, Nanoka, visits her "friends" throughout our time with the character. And while Nanoka visits these people you begin to link that maybe this girl who self harms, this woman who's a escort, or this old lady might be a little closer to Nanoka than we could ever imagine.

The ending here isn't really a big surprised. Guessed the twist in the first 30-40 pages. But the idea is sweet, and the ending is actually some really powerful stuff. This whole story is basically going through our emotions, our actions, how we do wrong and right, and if we want to move on or be stuck blaming or hurting ourselves. I love stories like these usually but here I just didn't connect to everyone. i think Nanoka is adorable, and art is solid, and I like the message but for some reason could not get invested into the characters.

But still an enjoyable read at a 3 out of 5.

Missed this one somehow.

It was the second part of the Aqualad team up and it was okay. Seeing Jon not want to hurt people and try to do everything peacefully is great, but this whole rise group is just boring. Not a fan of them at all.

Another adorable volume well worth the read.

We get to go on a big hiking trip, which gets to show off our favorite girl doing NINJA moves...WHAT? That's right, there's a lot more to her than we ever expected. Also Nasa tries to make the moves after being egged on by the little sister, and damn it, he's going to go for it.

As always, fun, enjoyable, sweet, cute, are all the words that come to mind. I love this series.

Man...where the hell are we going with this? Still entertaining, still funny, still great dialogue but the plot? I'm so confused what it'll lead up to. Cool ending though...even if it made me laugh at the absurdity.

Nana has had a lot of critical and fandom love. I always wanted to get into it and now that I did... I'm a little underwhelmed.

Now like any good slice of life manga I'm sure it'll take time to spice things up. To get to the real drama. To get to the heart of it all. But as it stands, this introduced two very different characters going through similar situations.

You have two characters, Nana 1, who's a love stricken young girl who deals with her first major breakup and then has to try and learn to move on with life and grow up. We have Nana 2, who deals with her first major love interest and break up, but with her it also effects her job and work she does as well. Nana 1 feels very much like the end of high school and getting into adulthood, she's more of a silly character at times, and though her heart is in the right place she makes way too many silly mistakes.

Nana 2 feels alot more like a young girl forced to grow up a lot quicker. Falling in love with someone who gave her the time and day, and then he makes a huge change to his life effecting hers.

Overall, this is pretty good but not great. First half feels wordy and needlessly dramatic, and every guy is a huge horny dick and every girl is love struck. I feel the second half, with Nana 2, is much better and more interesting story and characters.

I'll be checking out more volumes but this one didn't blow me away.

While not as good as Erased, I did enjoy this more than That Boy From My Dream.

So in this one a brother and sister who have a mother who basically is barely there for them are trying to make ends meet and survive. When they go to an amusement park they take a Farris wheel that gets hit by lightning, making the brother of the siblings switch bodies with someone, but that person is a murderer.

It's basically a cat and mouse game, to prove who can outsmart who, while trying to rescue his sister in a killer's body. It's a intense storyline, with lots of "almost" moments that you have to get used to by a thriller story. The dialogue is solid, great art, and good pacing. I'll be checking out more of this for sure.

So I grew up in the early 90s on anime like Guyver/Ghost in Shell, Akira, and Dragon Ball. I knew Sailor Moon broke into the US market in the mid or late 90's, but I was a boy and back than I wanted MANLY things.

Luckily I've grown past that stage and now rom-coms, and Shojo manga and comics are my shit. So I decided why not give a chance to Sailor Moon. I bought the first four books of Eternal Edition for my wife a couple of years ago and decided to give them a read.

I will say I find it amazing Tekeuchi here created something so simple but ingenious. I want to maybe make a video of it since it's so smart. Taking the Shojo ideas, romance, very sexy men, and a bit of spunky comedy and mix it with battle Shonen and some slight mystery/horror vibes. Simple, easy, and it's SO good.

This volume mostly goes over how Usagi Tsukino, a 14 year old middle schooler becomes the guardian known as Sailor Moon. Through this volume you meet a few other major characters like Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, Tuxedo Mask, and so on. This first volume is very much a introduction to the world of Sailor moon while getting some fun fights inbetween.

I enjoyed a lot of the dialogue and overall pacing of the story. Usagi is spunky and fun, with some really cute moments. Her and Chiba (Tuxedo Mask) are a cute couple that you know are destined to be together. The side cast hasn't been flushed out yet but I liked Mercury and of course Luna, the car, even if I felt there's something not right about her.

I would say some of the references and jokes are outdated at this point. Also, while it's enjoyable art it is very simple. And didn't need the couple of panty shots...but I guess if I was 13-18 year old boy (or girl, I see you) I'd like those. But overall least it was rare.

But overall, very enjoyable and laid back fun Saturday morning feel. I'll check out more volumes for sure!

Dreadfully boring. This might go down as one of the most boring tournaments I've ever read in manga...art still decent.
