While not written by the main creator, it's still pretty solid.

First half is about Giyu and his mission to the mountains. While the story is predictable there's a lot of great moments for Giyu's growth as a character plus some vicious kills. This is a moodier story with a lot of heavy themes. The second half is Rengoku, much more uplifting and of course we get to see Rengoku before he becomes a Hirasha so that's awesome. Both pretty fun side stories worth reading if you're a fan of the series.

This kept going back and forth between a 3 and 4. I'd probably end up rating it around a 3.5 in the end.

See, the art is great. We all know Sejic can draw. Stunning looking characters, magic looks cool as hell, so all that works well. The characters are pretty interesting. The dialogue solid with cute moments and plenty for relationship fans. Some good sex scenes though not as expressive or shown as something like Sunstone.

but there's SO many characters. This book sets up A LOT. So much in fact some characters just didn't gel with me. I could care less about some of the "demons" in here (Not called demons). I just didn't care, I wanted to get back to the main girl.

So a bit too long and not as captivating as I hoped but still lovely to look at and when the main character is on the page, it's a lot more fun. A 3.5 out of 5.

This volume was better.

We got the captains joining the fight and let's be honest, they atleast bring up a "will they won't they survive" cause Kubo is too scared to kill off any actual main character.

Saying that, I did enjoy the fights here. High energy, cool "you missed" moments. Lots of funny moments which worked well. I thought the main cover girl, already forgot her name, was a fucking waste of a character though. Like she blew up, got big boobs, then out in a second.

But yeah, at this point Bleach can't seem to recapture the magic it had but least this volume was more entertaining than the last two.

Another solid volume.

I think this series provides a interesting plotline. I think the characters are doing things I won't expect, which keeps me interested. I like how the main character isn't a good guy, not really. His mind is on one thing, revenge. But you get a bit more past in this, learning how he dealt with the passing of his brother and family.

I also do enjoy the actual plot. But the side cast needs to do more to impress me. The way the plot is sometimes clunky, telling instead of showing. I think the major difference between this and Erased was Erased had excellent characters, and this just has a interesting main lead but not much else.

Still intrigued where we will go though. A 3 out of 5.

Another extremely fucked up volume. I love this series.

Basically the boy kid is broken. Only doing or thinking what his mom would say or do. He'll protect her to the very end. He's broken inside, and it is easy to see why. His mother is a ultimate manipulator. On top of that he gets into a huge fight, leading to badly injuring a kid and breaking the rest of his relationships, friends or whatever he had, up even more.

The ending is sudden, and now I'm extremely intrigued where the hell we go from here.

A 5 out of 5.

This is one of the most off-kilter series I've ever read, and I kind of love it?

Basically it's about a Yakuza, Nitta, who wakes up one day to see a pod on his floor. He kicks it and once it opens up it is revealed to be a little girl named Hina. Hina has a special ability, she can move objects with her mind.

This is very strange. The way characters act, almost going with the flow half the time, is both awkward but funny as hell. I laughed a lot at the faces presented here after a weird or awful situation. The art is great, with some really cool action moments too.

This volume is mostly individual stories ranging from just general Yakuza control, eating sushi, talking down a robber from shooting people, to fishing. Yep, it's all weird, but I want more.

A 4 out of 5.

Vinland Saga continues to be a impressive display of character growth for so many characters.

Thorfinn is trying to figure a lot out. Vinland is his main objective and finally, after all the fighting, he begins to gather people up to make this trip and change everyone's life. However, we also tie up things with Siggy. He has to face his failure but also make his own path. Lots of cute parts, bravery, and trying your best to be your own person.

Overall this was a quiet volume, this was kind of the calm before the storm. I can feel everyone growing in new ways, figuring out what they want in life. There's still some character clinging to the past. Demons that won't leave them. Amazing scenes of a husband and wife working through issues. Also, lots of adorable shots of kids being super cute.

So overall, some really great stuff. It sucks I have to wait another year (or longer) for the next volume!

Like any Omnibus, you take the good with the bad.

I really loved some of these stories. From the creator of Hellboy or the Mask brings in some crazy, interesting, and fun stories. There's also a excellent story about a mad scientist, but the ending hits really strong, and overall my favorite story.

But then you get a 10 issue alien run that's horrible, different writers/artist, and barely connects with shit characters. Takes up nearly 200 pages if not more and it's terrible. Also some really bad one shots, and shit about religion and aliens.

But it's not bad. Not as solid as the first volume but sadly the long Marines story drags this one down. A 3 out of 5.

This feels more classic DBZ style storytelling, and I was 100% with it.

Moro vs Vegeta opens the volume. This is a clear one sided battle until Moro decides to show his true hand. This puts both Vegeta and Goku in a new predicament as they aren't used to fighting someone with "magic". Then the second half deals with a dragonball chase, weaken heroes, and a surprise twist at the end that puts everyone in danger.

This is probably one of the stronger volumes in the series. Giving us a brand new foe that doesn't feel like a rehash. The brutal way he wins fights and what he does makes Moro a actual interesting enemy. Vegeta's growth as a character is nice to see. We have a galactic policeman who's actually pretty badass too.

Overall, I'm all here for the Moro arc, this is great.
