This kept going back and forth between a 3 and 4. I'd probably end up rating it around a 3.5 in the end.

See, the art is great. We all know Sejic can draw. Stunning looking characters, magic looks cool as hell, so all that works well. The characters are pretty interesting. The dialogue solid with cute moments and plenty for relationship fans. Some good sex scenes though not as expressive or shown as something like Sunstone.

but there's SO many characters. This book sets up A LOT. So much in fact some characters just didn't gel with me. I could care less about some of the "demons" in here (Not called demons). I just didn't care, I wanted to get back to the main girl.

So a bit too long and not as captivating as I hoped but still lovely to look at and when the main character is on the page, it's a lot more fun. A 3.5 out of 5.
