A weird almost horror like feel with a decent story and some kickass art. I'll keep reading.

Well all good things come to a end. Poor Peter....some interesting things set up at the end. I did like this insane team in the end and I'll miss actually liking Sinister. This is the only series to make me actually like what I consider to be one of the most boring villains. Hopefully another writer gives him a go and does as well as Zeb did. A 4 out of 5. Goodbye hellions ❤

Another solid issue. Kurt drunk was great. Just not sure where we're going.

I thought I reviewed this...so weird.

But this was another great volume. This one did a couple of time skips that made it jump a bit too much at times for me. However, once it settled down and got into the family drama, book stuff, and all that I really loved it. Even the gaming part I could relate to. I'm super sad the last volume is the last one :(

Uhhh this volume was for sure uncomfortable, but like all of Oshimi's work I can't stop reading.

So this time Mari comes clean to her friend but of course she doesn't react very happy after hearing what they did in Mari's body. Then we have Mari go to her old body's home where she speaks to her/himself and helps him...well...I don't wanna spoil it but very weird situation.

This volume is odd, and I'm weirded out where we're going yet still intrigued.

Well this was a hell of a nice surprise.

I'll be honest, those Future State issues almost made me drop this. Was not a fan.

But then we got to the main storyline and I was in.

This is a more serious take on the suicide squad. Not as jokey as the last few years. There's still humor, and some great lolz moments, but for the most part we have a more serious team here. And Peacemaker makes a great protagonist/antagonist to the team, and having interesting members with diverse amount of personalities really helps build this team up in a interesting way.

The fact we jump from a failure of a team to Earth 3 to meet that fucking psycho ultraman, is great. Plenty of twist along the way, especially the last page of the volume is a SUPER zinger. The art is great, and some excellent fight scenes to be had.

So besides the first ehhhhh issues that cover the Future State storyline, the next six issues build up to be a rather interesting and fun story arc.

A 4 out of 5.

This has to be one of the funniest comics I've read all year.

Owen is a Barbarian, and he does what a Barbarian does. He fucks, he kills, he steals. Well I should say, that's what he USED to do. See, Owen screwed up and pissed off the wrong people, and now he is cursed to help whoever askes him for help as long as they are good people. He has a trust axe to aid him in murdering the bad people...oh did I tell you that his Axe talks? And he loves blood? Yep.

This is fantastic. My only real negative is it's only 3 issues (Long issues but still). Throughout this comic I was cracking up as Owen argued with his axe, told people to "fuck off" and dealt with his new companion, a witch who was almost burnt at the stake. You have a lot of wonderful characters in this with some excellent art and great fight scenes. If you want a action packed adventure with laughs, look no further.

A 5 out of 5.

Ever wondered who that Texas Chainsaw guy was based off of?

That's Mr. Eddie Gein, though not directly him, he's a big inspiration for the character.

But those are fictional characters, and Eddie Gein is for sure NOT. He was a mentally unstable person abused by his mother and other people in his town, and eventually averted his attention to killing folks because...well reasons. But in this book they go into a deep dive. You'll learn about Eddie from birth to death, and while it's most certainly not painting him as a worthy person to be talked about, it shows who and maybe even hints to why he did what he did.

This was a real interesting title. I loved a huge portion of it. Keep in mind this is a mix of a drama of Eddie Gein but also a documentary style of talking about what he did, how, and maybe even telling us some reasons why. Eddie is portrayed as a bumbling fool at times, but the author and artist show he might have a much more sinister side, which I 100% believe. The back and forth between is he sane or not is the best part of the book.

I'd say it can slow down a bit much at times, making the pacing feel a bit all over the place. But the excellent art, solid dialogue, and intriguing look into a murderer, made me read this in one long 30-45 minute sitting and it was very much worth it. A 4.5 out of 5.

Sadly this volume doesn't live up to the last one.

With Unnatural volume 2 we get a lot more of the mystical side of things. Leslie has this old spirit creature living inside her. A very powerful one that can tear people's arms off and slaughter them within seconds. With that beast within and having the rest of her new team all working together to escape the clutches of the evil-doers who want to bring harm.

The series still has some intense scenes. People do die, and it's refreshing to see no one is really safe. I also enjoyed the art a lot as it's very colorful and well done. On the flipside the pacing seemed odd in this one, rushed, and then padding scenes made it feel slower. Was a odd mix.

Overall, good but not great. I hope the third volume picks back up. This is a 3 out of 5.

A solid annual that shows what Jon has to deal with in everyday superheroing. Lots of focus on Lex and why he could be a great hero but always chooses the wrong path. Not too big fan of the AR though.
