A decent story with Peter on edge.

When Peter is pushed to his limit during the Dark Reign era he is trying to decide if he should finally kill Osborn. I always hated the whole "Peter doesn't kill or won't" cause that's just lame. He won't murderer outright but I think if pushed to it, he can kill, and he shouldn't feel guilty when a vicious monster keeps coming back.

So the fact Joe Kelly wrote Peter trying to decide if he should kill or won't is great. Harry also gets a ton of character development that works really well for the character. The brutal nature of Norman comes out and the end result is a pretty good tale though a-okay ending.

Overall, enjoyable but not amazing, but that's okay. That's mostly what I expected.

Whoa this was a crazy volume.

Everyone fights everyone. The brutal confrontation between every group leaving everyone brutally beatdown and hurt. A fatal attack leaves one person on the verge of dying, payback for old acts, and a shocking ending make this one of the best volumes yet. I can't even talk about it much because of so many spoilers. But it is great.

Not good...

Like a really bad version of Gremlins. I know it is for the younger crowd but this does almost nothing new, the art isn't really very good, and the storyline is weak as hell even for homage. Def the weakest AWA outing so far.

Things get more hot and heavy with the two main leads while we get some fun time with other characters.

I really liked the background we got with Miyamura. Something I found interesting was the "bullying" came in the form of ignoring him. I dunno about you guys, but sometimes feeling alone and isolated can be as bad as getting pushed around. On top of that Hori is such a hard worker, and the way she pushes herself makes her an interesting match for Miyamura.

The stuff with the side characters was decent but almost felt like an afterthought. But once we get deeper into the series maybe that'll turn around.

This volume also had a few good humor moments. Especially when Miyamura flips out, pure gold in comedy.

A 4 out of 5.

UGH THE CUTENESS IS KILLING ME>

I'm loving this manga so much. This one is basically dealing with leaving Nasa's parent's home, going back home, finding out their home burnt down, and trying to work together to still be happy. It's well crafted, so funny at times, super cute other times, and an adorable ending. I also love the 4th wall breaking, and the narration is too funny. Overall, this is a must-read if you didn't know by now.

A 5 out of 5.

"It's so heavy. I wanted to die...but I was scared."

There's some powerful stuff in this book when you look at what it is trying to tell. Raw suicidal books, shows, or movies can be a tough subject to cover. Suicide in general is a touchy subject. Some people deal with it all the time, sometimes once in a while, sometimes never, but for someone like myself who has a couple of times in life this one struck me hard.

I think the fact everyone is trying their best to show what life can be when you have people you love and care about you around works really well. The pacing works real well as the days are getting closer to the death of the main character. So everyone trying their best to change things when really you just need love sometimes to help people fight the urge to leave.

I did feel the ending was a bit rushed and a few more chapters would have helped this but overall I really enjoyed this series.

A Luther chapter about him wanting to save the world. It was okay. Felt a bridge to the final two chapters.

The ending results of the big brawl are fucked up but expected.

This volume slows down a bit and we even get a funny chapter of trying to decide who's in love with who. It's a detective chapter and it works to break up from all the seriousness. Then we get back into the present time, and EVERYTHING has changed. I'm eager to see how we head into the newest arc coming up.

The split team doesn't stay split too long as the Omega Rangers make a fatal mistake, creating a new enemy they might not be able to handle.

This is another really solid volume. Ever since Parrott took over it has only gotten better. With the art still super solid for fight scenes, character growth from everyone, and an ending that left me going "how do they get out of this?" I'm excited to read the final two volumes before the rebirth of the new series.

A fun tale of a piece of shit working for another piece of shit while doing piece of shit things.

So Taskmaster is just trying to live his best life being a jackass. However, when Maria Hill is found dead, Black Widow goes and hunts down Taskmaster. This guy might be able to mimic almost any fighter but he really does NOT want to fuck with Black Widow. So he works with Nick Fury to try to clear his name.

Jed Mackay has humor down well. After this and Black Cat I have no doubt about that. Taskmaster is a joke of a character in this but he does it well. A lot of great funny moments and actually some badass moments. I will say I think the first two issues are great, while issues 3-5 are good but don't reach the same level. I feel the story structure is too similar to most of these mini-series out there instead of something fresh. But overall, if want a fun story, this works.

A 3 out of 5.
