Orange: The Complete Collection, Volume 2
by Ichigo Takano
"It's so heavy. I wanted to die...but I was scared."
There's some powerful stuff in this book when you look at what it is trying to tell. Raw suicidal books, shows, or movies can be a tough subject to cover. Suicide in general is a touchy subject. Some people deal with it all the time, sometimes once in a while, sometimes never, but for someone like myself who has a couple of times in life this one struck me hard.
I think the fact everyone is trying their best to show what life can be when you have people you love and care about you around works really well. The pacing works real well as the days are getting closer to the death of the main character. So everyone trying their best to change things when really you just need love sometimes to help people fight the urge to leave.
I did feel the ending was a bit rushed and a few more chapters would have helped this but overall I really enjoyed this series.
