Welp, this series is still amazing.
With the events of the last volume behind us we enter a new problem. Little monsters are now roaming the forest needing to eat. What happens when they can't find food? They go hunting. This leaves Tommy trying to be a decent human being, a new hunter is in town, Erica trying to fix things, and James is in the hospital. Nothing is going right of course, everyone is on edge, and so many more kids/people are dying. This is pure chaos and there's no solution in sight.
I think the best thing about this volume is the pacing. So fast, everything feels like it'll collapse at any moment, and death lingers everywhere. The gorgeous artwork by Dell'Dera is goddamn gorgeous and so spooky. I love the style so much. All the characters feel like they're making rash decisions but it makes sense seeing the position they are in. I also enjoy the ending as it leaves it in a very realistic, and fucked up way.
A nice high 4.5 out of 5.

This was generic as all hell.
But taking the justice league copies and putting them in a murder mystery while killing off each one is interesting enough. The plot itself isn't bad but it's the characters that lack any sort of humanity really that make me give two shits when they start getting picked off. The plot itself is good actually and keeps me interested to find out who is behind it but I wish I cared about the characters here. When they all blame a Joker like figure for the killings but find out it is not him they begin to question everything and each other, and then they start dying.
Like I said, plot itself isn't bad. Even the backstory of the main hero is interesting enough. But between the characters interactions being meh at best to the HORRIBLE art at times, I can't really recommend this one. Maybe if get it free or very deeply discounted. A 2 out of 5.

The atmosphere feels very "The Thing" and Joe Hill basically says this is his tribute to it. I mean the main guys last name is Carpenter so...lolz.
But the story is basically a group of "deep divers" or "retrieval divers" whatever the name is it, go to a island to find out what happened to a old ship crew. Upon getting there the dead seem to come back to life. Don't worry, not a zombie tale. With the group of divers not unsure of everything and the old crew, thought to be dead, now possessed by something and asking for "freedom" what will happen next?
Joe Hill does a solid plot here with a pretty interesting turn of events. I mean, the main plot is pretty simple and seen it before. It's the characters that are fun and the deaths I didn't expect happening to keep me coming back. It also helps the art is fantastic, and feels like a 80's or 90's horror film.
While I thought the ending wrapped up too quick and a bit cliché, I still enjoyed it. Not as much as Basketcase but overall fun horror story. A 3.5 out of 5.

A cute story about a girl who everyone thinks is either "SUPER HOT" or "SO SCARY" because when people look at her she looks so stern. But the real fact is she's lonely and can't speak and just wants to be friends.
The best part of this cute series is the art. Watching the characters change from super serious to bug eyed in a instant gives me plenty of laughs. I also enjoyed the interactions with everyone and a few times the characters trying to speak got me laughing hard. Also Komi is TOO cute, I hope she does get friends.
The plot itself is solid though some stories feel a little repetitive. I'm hoping it expands future volumes. While I didn't love volume 1 I enjoyed it plenty to pick up a few more volumes in the future. A 3 out of 5.

This series is just so fucking weird, and I kind of love it?
This time we have the priest in the future as he tries to find his answers but of course that's never easy, and leads to some actually funny situations. Then we got our gun slinging cop dealing with the crazies on the farm. Last but not least we get a LITTLE bit of what's happening with Daniel.
While not AS good as the last volume this is still great. I don't know how this series will end but I'm so excited to read more. A 4 out of 5.

Art = 11/10
Story - 6/10
I enjoyed a lot of King's Batman run but this one jumps around SO much it is jarring. I do love moments, especially a big reveal that worked great, and the overall creepiness in the background of all this, but some of it is so confusing in terms of following the story I can't help but ask "Why?"

Well we're almost to the end now and everyone's plan is moving forward, bad and good.
The army of Robots has risen. Hellblazer has one more trick up his sleeve. The cure? Will it work, will it not. All answered here. The finale is going to be bloody.

Holy shit balls this is how you start an event.
Knull is finally here but before we even get to him the invasion begins. The Avengers along with Brock all work together to try and stop that...well you know that ain't going to work.
We get a surprise guest who comes into town to stop Knull, Brock making the big plays, and all the Avengers trying to stop the end from coming.
This is fantastic, really well paced, and the art is WONDERFUL. Give me more. GIVE ME MORE.

A kind of bitter, sad, and hopeful ending this book gave me.
Really this story here is about acceptances and death. About knowing everything will eventually end, and facing that end, and what you can do with it. Multiple characters here deal with loss, including Dream and even Death herself. And it comes as a surprise how some characters face their final moments, some call backs to older characters, and how some characters get twisted so bad to be used as a weapon.
I'm being super vague because this is the accumulation of the entire run up to here. And it has some huge payoffs. Some wonderful character moments (I see you Matthew) and a ending that left me feeling...maybe a bit lost. Maybe because I myself fear death one day and this is so close to it every page you turn.
A fantastic volume and a huge step up from the disappointment of the last volume. A 5 out of 5.

This is pretty much one long battle but it is pretty intense.
After the loss of their leader, Shikamaru and his crew go face to face with the murderers. Kakashi decides to join them and the battle heats up right away. Shikamaru is a master thinker, and he plans for everything, even if he acts like he might not win. This is basically a losing battle though as one of the members is extremely overpowered and it will take 3 ninjas, including kakshi to stop him. But will they be enough or are we going to have to get backup?
This is fast paced action manga for you with plenty of "oh damn" moments. While not my favorite volume I was invested the entire volume and its fast paced action scenes help make this one of the most enjoyable volumes so far in the second half of naruto. A 4 out of 5.
