Welp now we've uncovered how people are becoming fire monsters, or least some of them.
Right away this volume jumps into the two undercover fire fighters trying to focus on who is doing what. Midway becomes a huge fight to near death between main hero and crazy religious folk. All pretty solid but it's actually the surprise death and ending reveal that makes this one jump to a four star. Now we're cooking!

Free comic book day books are supposed to set up what is to come, and both these do it well.
The first story is about Black Cat and Spidy. It's cute, fun, and got a few solid jokes. Mackay is turning out to be a solid writer and the art is pretty solid. Donny writes the other story about Venom and Krull is coming. Neither is amazing but both stories are fun and help build up their next plot lines. A 3 out of 5.

At the start of this volume was getting little worried we weren't going to do anything new but then the second half kicked in.
The first half is more surviving and it's great to see Emma stick up for herself and show how much she cares for people. But then when a kidnapping happens we get thrown into a WHOLE new group of people and things get very interesting. When kids get hunted, not to survive, but for game, everything gets turned up to 11. Kills are vicious, demons are scary, and time is running out.
A far stronger volume than the last. Filled with great action moments, drama, and emotional bits. A ending that got me excited and worried at the same time. This is what Promised Neverland is ALL about baby. A 4 out of 5.

This volume was a bit weaker but still super enjoyable.
It comes because Loid and Yor dealing with Yor's brother Yuri goes on a bit long and it's more slapstick than previous volumes. Then once we move back to the family unit of Anya, yor, and Loid it gets back to the Hi-jinks I love the most. With some great dodge-ball moments from our little Anya, a plot moving forward of infuriating the home, and a cute special chapter of Yor being shot in the butt and not telling anyone and Loid thinking she's mad at him all while Anya goes undercover with Franky is all fun.
This is easily one of the most laid back, funny, and enjoyable mangas I get to read. A 4 out of 5.

At best this series is extremely cliche.
Magical powers, becoming Hokag--King Wizard. Loud annoying main character who in real life would probably be nothing but annoying but is actually one of the strongest. You know, you read it before, and the author seems to have no shame of copying older Mangas. And sometimes feeling like older mangas works in their favor, for both Jujutsu and Demon Slayer have vibes of previous series but quickly make their own imprint.
Saying that, this series isn't "horrible" or "bad" it's just decent. It has moments that are cute and funny, and the fact the main character teams up with a rag tag group of losers who are all pretty interesting (Though did we really need a half naked chick so soon?) But the pacing is quick and for a battle manga the visuals work.
I'll probably read a few more volumes and decide to keep or drop but it's enjoyable to read on my Shonen Jump App. A 3 out of 5.

We get to see Company 7 and their leader. This is a pretty fun volume with again, some great fights. What works best here is to show why Company has a leader with zero powers yet still a force to be reckon with. I'm wondering what the heck the plan is for these guys turning people into fire monsters, but even more so wondering how our main hero and his brother will come into all this in the end.
Good fun shonen action fun. A 4 out of 5.

The end is here. Sandman had a few bumps along the way (Volume 8...) BUT holy hell, what a grand experience it was to get here.
While the last volume covered moving towards death and accepting it, this deals with the fallout. What about the people who you've known in your life. How will they feel, or be effected, in the long run. When Dreams family gathers to say goodbye, strangers from all points of time/life come to the dream land to also say goodbye. Some remembering Dream vividly, some just in passing, but they all have something that connects them to this world.
While this is happening, Daniel, the new Dream, is dealing with learning to be who he is. With the help of Matthew and his brother, he begins to figure that out. Similar to the old dream yet different in ways no one would expect. A nice contrast of how one dies and changes, yet who they are, and what they are, might still b intact.
One of my favorite volumes of the series. Strong character work, meaningful goodbyes, and a hell of a way to end the series. A 5 out of 5.

Well Grimjaw shows up and shit gets real.
Grimjaw brings a bunch of his psycho friends to kill everyone with spirit energy. Rukia and Ichigo work together as well as other fighters spread across the city. Big battles happen here, Rukia showing off her weapon, and a brutal one on one that ends in a explosive finale. Overall, this is pure action volume but one that is entertaining throughout. A 4 out of 5.

This is about as good as I expected.
If never read wonder woman this will do just fine. She's heroic, fun, and passionate. Wonder Woman herself is great. But the plot is basic. It starts interesting enough with Diana looking for Steve but then when Ares comes along it ruins plans. It becomes a bit too preachy without feeling like it earned the right to be, or make much sense. But it is still written well enough, fun enough, and the art is good enough.
A decent book but nothing mind-blowing. A 3 out of 5.

Well finally it is over. Better than last issue but still meh. Art solid, watching Peter do something good again is nice, and the ending has a nicer ending than expected but this story was rushed and not well told in the end. The start of this series was a lot better than the end.
