Now THAT is how you finish up a series.

Roger is just trying to do the right thing. He wants to stop being a criminal all together and goes to Hobgoblin to ask to be out of the gang. Of course things don't go that well and the Hob got new plans for him. Jess is also hunting down leads and being a badass P.I. while trying to figure out who might have killed someone she knows. This all comes to a ultimate, emotional, climax.

I love everything about this last volume. The art is good, the emotions are running high, and the last issue is near perfect. I love all the big moments, the big fights, the over the top world building, but when we sit down and get to have people just talk like people while being dressed up as superheroes and done right? It's the best. Heartfelt, touching, just amazing ending. A 5 out of 5.

Still strange, still intriguing.

Isao is still trapped inside Mari's body and Yori and him are trying to find out why. They decide to try and track down clues but that reveals more than they expected. A secret porn fetish!? Also what will Isao do when he has to go to gym and all the girls change? Will Yori come out and tell her true feelings for Mari too?

This is basically a love story filled with a switch body twist. It's pretty funny at times, weird at others, but somehow I keep wanting to know what happens next. I do like the author goes in to the fact of sexuality with teens but never shows bare nudes and such, as they are high school girls, and we don't need to see that. But the fact he doesn't have the girls all huge tits and ass and such is a nice change of pace too. My favorite thing is the secret with Yori and her past with Mari. I feel like they might have been in love at one point?

Either way I'll keep reading since the series remains interesting still. A 3.5 out of 5.

This was actually a nice step up from volume 1.

In this volume we get a little history on why crazy on the team is...well crazy. We also get to learn about Slavers. They are what they sound like. They capture people and enslave them, mostly children, and use them to hurt or steal things. With NO out of commission this volume we get to let all the other characters shine, plus we get a bunch of kids who can slit people's throats. So there's that.

I think what worked well this volume is it slowed down the action at the start and gave us alot of world building. The world inside Spread is far more interesting than the spread disease. I also really enjoyed the interaction with our main characters and the new kids. The violence is still brutal and plenty of deaths to go around. I am interested to see where this goes and if the story can stay this good throughout the rest of the series.

A 4 out of 5.

A pretty average volume in a otherwise good series.

The start of this arc is pretty good actually. Hope and Cable get seperated and she is pushed into the future 2 years. In doing so she must survive on her own and she meets a boy. Young love begins! Then when time catches up Cable reunites and they go on the run again...this time in SPACE! Aliens attacks and it basically becomes aliens with Bishop as a terminator like force.

Overall, it's decent. The start is a lot of fun. And watching Hope grow up is always good. I also think the relationship between Hope and the boy she liked was good. However, Bishop following them is getting tiresome. I also thought the Aliens subplot was silly and added really nothing.

Overall a okay volume. Not bad but not great. A 2.5 out of 5.

This one was dragging its feet by the end.

It's not even that the series is ever bad. It just feels like we're doing the same thing over and over again. It also doesn't help that Bishop is boring. He never gets the job done, of course, but he barely ever even comes close. He never feels like a threat. He's just kind of a shitty antagonist by the end. On top of that the story is recycled every volume.

Saying that the art is decent enough and the relationship with Cable and Hope is pretty great. The dad-daughter relationship works really well and you always feel that they truly care about each other throughout the series.

I just wish the series was better in the end but for Cable fans it is worth checking out. A great start, meh ending. A 2.5 out of 5.

Who knew in my life I always wanted some humor into my Venom stories.

I personally love Rick's and Donny's Venom runs but this one would probably fit nicely for 3rd place. This is about Flash Thompson becoming a Cosmic Knight. What's that? Well he doesn't know either but basically he uses the Venom to fight back against evil people. This is one big space adventure where we meet a giant talking Panda. I mean...can't get much weirder.

But see that's what works. This series is crazy, weird, and fun. Flash is spitting out one liners, which is weird at first, but somehow all works. It's also the most heroic Venom has probably ever been. This isn't to say he has control issues or anything with anger. I also enjoyed the talking Panda and the suicide robot. The villain was one note and boring though. Overall, fun cosmic world worth checking out. A 3.5 out of 5, I'll bump it to a 4.

Got full reviews on each volume in this. So check those out to see full reviews but here are my ratings for each volume.

Volume 1 - 4/5
Volume 2 - 3/5
Volume 3 - 2.5/5

Overall this is a 3 out of 5.

A simple chat could make me on the edge of my seat reading this. Amazing.

Matt is taking a break from being Daredevil. He's at a point in his life where he just doesn't know if he wants to be a crime fighter. So he decides to try to live his life as normal as possible. That means being a Parole officer now as well as also hitting on woman, because that is Matt's way. However, no matter how hard he tries he can't fully push himself away because he is daredevil in his heart. Always looking to help, and he still does in little ways.

On the flipside we have Kingpins storyline where he's had enough of crime. He actually walks away from his criminal empire and wants to get into legit business. I mean as legit as pieces of shit who run these big businesses and do little deals and screw over the little people legal as you can get type stuff. But either way it's a new side of the Kingpin we haven't seen despite his urge to still be a raging piece of shit.

Overall, a fantastic volume. We have so much at play yet it all still works. Matt is never even in his signature red costume, mostly using whatever street clothes he has on to do any type of fighting. My favorite part of it all is how scared he is to even fight because of what happened in the last volume. On top of that the cop storyline is great as well as Kingpins. When have 3 separate storylines all working really well the engaging reading is even better.

Also the art...goddamn. Marco Checchetto is doing some AMAZING work here. Somehow gritty without being TOO gritty. Somehow Noir without being depressing. Somehow he's mixing multiple styles and still flowing sooooo smooth with the action. The art is just as good as the writing for this title.

I can't say for sure if this will be the best run of all time for me. It'll be hard to top Bendis and Brubaker's run, but the way this is going, it just might do it. A 5 out of 5.

Go Go still doesn't let up with it's 3rd GREAT volume.

If you didn't know, there's two major Power Ranger series going on. Mighty Morphin, which is more like the old TV show, corny but super fun and epic scale. This is more down to earth, similar to the newest movies, with focus on drama with some great fights to add. This volume has a future version of Kim come into the past and hunt the rangers. Why is she doing this? Is she controlled? And how is this connecting to the Shattered Dimension crossover event?

Overall, great stuff. Future Kim is both scary (and kind of sexy) and she is a threat that feels...well real. On top of that get plenty of great character growth for most of the rangers, and especially Jason and Kim. The fight at the end feels bit rushed but man is it pretty epic with a awesome fusion of Megazords.

Overall, another fantastic volume with great art and good storytelling. A 4 out of 5.

I regret not catching up sooner to add Immortal Hulk to top 10 marvel books because goddamn is this good.

Just when you think you know where this series is going it makes a hard right and heads in a new direction. Of course someone is after Banner, but this time that person gets real close. However, we bring out ANOTHER personality now? Who has returneD? On top of that we have a good old villain show up. From the title of this volume I'll leave it up to you to guess who. But let me tell you, this is a lot nastier, uglier, and fucked up version.

Overall, this is fantastic. Probably the most horror-like volume yet. Plenty of gross moments, even simple ones like the Hulk transforming is great. On top of that you get some great fights, mostly the last two issues, filled with pure carnage (not the character) and plenty of fucked up fights and deaths. Also, the art is great, for a double ship book this somehow contains some amazing art even with switching teams.

Overall, fantastic, brutal, and probably one of the best marvel books out right now. A 5 out of 5.
