Story: So the story starts off fun enough. Weather Man Nathan Bright goes on tv every day and makes everyone feel better about their life. Something TERRIBLE happened on earth and throughout the story we get bits and pieces of it to build the backstory. Soon after the end of issue 1 things go bonkers and we got our weather man on the run with another solider but twist and turns keep coming and you can't trust anyone.

Art: It's fantastic. The strongest part about the book for me is the art itself. Vibrant and really well done. From the environments looking lively and colorful to the characters ALL have distinct looks to make them unique. The flow of the action is perfect with a lot of brutality thrown in.

Enjoyment: The pacing is quick and it's NEVER boring. So many twist and turns will keep you turning each page. The fights are explosive and the violence, while sometimes a bit much, is pretty darn fucked up. I also think the art really makes me enjoy this series even more.

What Didn't Work: Okay, so with the great art and neck-breaking pace, a lot of good is here. However, some of the violence is a bit too much. Like just gruesome for shocking moments. I also think it gets a bit confusing, especially when it introduces more and more characters without giving them time to breath before they act.

Overall, very very fun. The art is great, the pacing is great, and the characters are interesting. If the story keeps going without trying to convoluted it too much and slow down on violent kills, this could be a 5 but for now it's still great. 4 out of 5.

Story: The first 3 issues of this book are basically Spider-Geddon storyline. I wasn't the hugest fan of this event. Anyway, we get to let Seanan kind of tell their story for Gwen. Right off the bat you get a different voice for her. More self-hating in ways, but still quirky, and quippy. The last issue of this collection focuses on the fallout of the event, and how Gwen will deal with the death of some of her friends.

Art: It's pretty solid overall. As always, Spider-Gwen has one of the best costumes around. I also think the action flows reasonably well, feels quick, and that's important for Spider-man type comics.

Enjoyment: I really think the last issue is powerful. It shows gwen vulnerable yet strong for her friends. She goes to each person's house who had fallen in the fight from the event, and lets their love ones know what happened. Of course each reaction is different, but Gwen holds herself up like a true hero. The last issue is very powerful and I'm interested to see where it leads to next.

What Didn't Work: The story of first 3 issues is another "What if" and they kind of getting as tired as the time traveling x-men stories. I'm kind of bored for that stuff on Spider-man. Also, being the opening chapters be so connected to an event isn't the best way to start.

Overall, it was decent for first 3 issues but the last was strong enough that I want more. A 3 out of 5.

Story: Ollie and Diana are working on their relationship. How? By fighting crime together. In doing this though we have a new "love" interest in comes in. This new woman is in LOVE with Green Arrow and will do anything to get him. With that we also have Green Arrow's arch nemesis coming into play and he's killing people like nothing. How will the newly weds deal with all this?

Art: I thought the overall designs are fine. Everyone looks like their designs, even if they are extremely cartoony this time around. I also think when black canary is fighting and using her power it looks pretty great.

Enjoyment: I got some good moments out of this one. Oliver and Diana together are especially well done and interesting. Their bickering can get a bit annoying but I feel the love for this one. The pacing is pretty solid too, never really slow or boring.

What didn't work: The new villain is over the top and silly. Now I know where she came from but holy hell is she annoying. Also, the whole master plan has way too many plot holes.

Overall, decent followup to Winick run. Nothing amazing but solid none the less. A 3 out of 5.

Story: This is it. The final chapter of one of the greatest comics I've gotten to read. I took my time because I didn't want it to end. So anyway, Hundred is on full speed trying to get to the next jump in his political career. When his job is on the line he sends his bodyguard to get rid of some evidence. On top of that he's dealing with trying to become President. You get a bit more of the past, learning about his greatest villain, but a new one might arise here.

Art: Damn, this series always had great art, but this one blew me away. Some of the emotional moments hit super hard. I think the atmosphere, the dark shots, and the big epic scope shots all somehow work in one series. I can't stress enough how amazing the art is here.

Enjoyment: Everything. I mean it. This series seriously blew me away. Each volume builds upon the other, and by the end of the entire series you get some insane twist and turns too. The last chapter is probably a love or hate it chapter, like Y the Last Man, but it hit me so hard. Hundred said it best. "Happy endings are bullshit" and they sure as fuck are.

What Didn't work: Everything worked.

A 5 out of 5 series. this is right up there with Y the Last Man as one of my favorite comic series of all time. Just fucking amazing.

Story: A man travels the lands protecting a young girl. Little does he know, everyone is after him. Twist and turns, similar to Wood's other Viking style series.

Art: Overall, probably the strongest part. Some great flow of action here, deep and dark colors to show depression well, and some great emotional moments mixed with brutal.

Enjoyment: I had fun at the start. It builds well enough, you enjoy the characters, and I liked the dynamic. I also think the art is really good.

What didn't work: The 2nd half of this becomes pretty dull. The twist was unexpected but what Brian did with it didn't pan out very well. The ending was needlessly depressing.

Overall decent. I'd probably go with a 2.5 but I'll raise it to a 3 for the art.

Whoa, this wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be.

Story: Well, it's suicide squad, so expect a lot of explosions, deaths, and betrayal. This is the start of the New 52 Suicide squad and we are introduced to a new squad. Consist of Deadshot, harley quinn, sharkface, and more. Their first mission is to stop a zombie invasion, then to escape with a baby, and then to hunt one of their own. It all flows into one big story arc ending with carnage and destruction.

Art: Overall pretty good. Lots of cool fight scenes, plenty of unique designs, and if like seeing Harley Quinn's ass, tits, underwear, and more, this is the comic for you.

Enjoyment: It's fun. I'll give it this much, I was never bored. I also thought the death rate was something nice to see. These are criminals, pieces of shit, and killers. Watching them get mowed down, betrayed, and killed was actually kind of refreshing. Also, Harley Quinn was super fun but...

What didn't work: She was also extremely serialized. Fucking in the middle of the mission, talking about wedges up her ass and wanting someone to help her, just a little too whorish that went against most of her character (least from what I read). I Also thought the ending wasn't shocking because we know they won't die.

Overall, dumb but fun. I think I'll keep reading this series just for the fun pacing and over the top fighting. A 3 out of 5.

Story: Just a bunch of single or two-parter arcs for the teen titans. A lot of this feels all over the place and nothing really important happens. The opening is with Damien trying to become a decent leader. On top of that get some cool moments with Emi and Damien and Damien forming a crush on her. The rest of the one shots and such are just trying to build up the other titans.

Art: It's okay. Feels very generic and besides a couple of cool fight scenes and Raven's amazing design, the rest is okayish.

Enjoyment. Emi and Damien together are super cute. Also Emi as a person makes any book better and Ben knows how to write her well.

What Didn't Work: Most of the stories are just generic one shots that add little to any of the characters. The ending goes right into No Justice, which sucks. The art is okay at best.

Overall...okay. A 2 out of 5 at best...

Story: The Goblin Slayer finally needs help. After being a major badass for so many volumes he finally needs the help of other adventures to stop the forces of evil. The Goblins and a Goblin King, are about to descend on the village and kill everyone and rape their women. So the Goblin Slayer enlist help and this time he has the ultimate plan to kill one of the Goblin Kings.

Art: Still pretty solid. Sure, there's a lack of detail on some backgrounds, and none of the fights look as amazing as they do in Vinland or Berserk, but that's okay. I also think the character designs are pretty fun, as they are modeled after famous MMO characters, or other shonen/manga characters. Also, it's still brutal as hell.

Enjoyment: I really enjoyed the end fight. The Goblin Slayer against the Goblin King was both brutal and badass. The fights between all the different characters was also great as it showed off some new movesets from different characters. Also, the ending was actually pretty funny.

What didn't work: Still a lot of rape, so it's not always easy to read. Also, this plan wasn't as badass or different than a simple siege/defend attack.

Overall, pretty damn fun. I think this was the best volume so far. The Goblin King was savage but the Goblin Slayer was ready to fuck him up. A 3.5 out of 5, I'll bump it to a 4.

Story: Angel decides to stop by and help Spike and Buffy take down the big bad demon. However, he now has to learn of the loving relationship between the two. Oh fun! Then we also have a story where Giles gets to be a grown man again for a day while Buffy and Dawn deal with their father. Last but not least the final issue deals with an important subject...rape.

Art: Overall still good. Much better than the start of this series. I really enjoy the designs here, everyone looks like their tv counterpart. There's also some great comedic moments thank to the faces and such here.

Enjoyment: Overall solid art mixed with good storytelling. I really enjoy all the tougher subjects this series tries to tackle. The Rape one could be tricky but works well. I also loved Spike and Angel final confrontation in this book. Christos Gage has this down packed now for dialogue and pacing.

What didn't work: The big bad villain was pretty lame TBH.

Overall, pretty good. I'd even say great at points. Not perfect but this season is keeping me engaged. A 4 out of 5.

Story: The story ramps up as Wonder Woman and gang head into hell to save Zola. However, in hell, there's always a price to pay. After Wonder Woman is wounded she is left by the gang as an exchange for Zola. Now, without their leader, the crew has to figure out how to save Wonder Woman. However, the amazon queen isn't about to back down so easy.

Art: It's weird. Some of the art doesn't work for me at all, while the emotional shots, and big fights, all look great. So basically best way to describe this title is when the art is good it's damn fucking good.

Enjoyment: Really enjoyed the pacing of this one. A lot of fast moving pieces, everyone has their own motives, and some unexpected twist. Everyone wants something and by the end we are down a few major players. I love all that. I also think Wonder Woman is so damn badass and also really well done in terms of being true to her character.

What didn't work: I'm still little confused on all the characters. There's SO many damn characters and it's hard to keep up with who is who. Also, sometimes art is pretty ugly.

Overall, a step up from a solid volume 1. I dunno if I'd go to a full 4 but close enough to bump it to it. 3.5-4 out of 5.
