Story: So after the great defense of the farm attack, things slow down. The Goblin Hunter is wanting to do more adventuring with his new crew of weirdo friends. So he recruits them to go under the main city to kill some goblins. Sounds easy, right? However, the one who sent him and his gang there might have something evil planned out!

Art: Remains solid. There's one awesome shot of a new villain that I love the design. Also, everything moves quickly in fights and just as brutal as ever.

Enjoyment: I dug the later half of this volume. The new villain who appears at the end looks like a lot of fun for the next volume. I enjoyed watching the Goblin Slayer work and the way he takes out goblin home bases is awesome. I also enjoyed getting to know the other characters and of course seeing even the Goblin Slayer grow as a character.

What didn't work: This is a HUGE slowdown from the last volume. One whole chapter is basically just typical JRPG talking to take the quest. Wasn't fun or interesting, and not sure why it had to take so long. The carnage is toned down and slowed down to a point I was bored a bit.

Overall, a slower volume than I had hope for. While not the best volume it's still entertaining at points and the 2nd half brings it up a bit. A 3 out of 5.

Story: Holy shit, talk about picking up in terms of stakes. So last we saw the baby taken by one of Diana's friends. However, now we get some backstory of how Wonder Woman trained with War as a child. After the backstory we're introduced to "The First" who's been buried and forgotten by the gods. However, he has rose, and he is really fucking pissed. Think like Kratos from god of war. Then we have Diana teaming up with War to go save the baby but we have new characters coming in left and right to come to a final confrontation.

Art: The art is a really nice upgrade. The fight scenes are great, the emotional moments work really well, and everything is really easy to follow. Surprised this is the same artist as everything is easier on the eyes now...maybe new colorist?

Enjoyment. I really dug a lot of this volume. Super intrigued by the "First born" character and his fight scenes are vicious as hell. Watching Zola and Hara get along is funny as hell. Wonder Woman being a badass warrior here works well. The dialogue is a huge jump up here and plenty of lol moments mixed with great emotional bits.

What I didn't enjoy: Maybe still confused on a lot of new character. Sometimes introduced at a rapid rate.

Overall, super fun. I loved a lot of this volume and can't wait for volume 4. Time to head to the library! A 4 out of 5.

Story: New writer, new feel. So the old squad is mostly out, replaced by this brand new squad. We have Damien as leader still, Flash is their speedster, but everyone else is new. Have Crush who's Lobo's daughter, Red Arrow (I love you Emi!) and Djinn and Roundhouse. This crazy, weird, and insane team all work together to take down criminals but this time they might be crossing the line a little. Not as friendly, and not as goody two shoes as the last teen titans team, this one might get a little dirty when Damien is playing them all a little.

Art: The fights are great, the detail to the characters is solid, and no real complaints here. The extra covers are amazing and make it worth it for that alone.

Enjoyment: I dug a lot of the characters chit chatting. I thought the 2nd half was way stronger. Love triangles begin, people betraying each other, some team work moments, and some really funny moments too. Art is a nice plus as well.

What didn't work: Took awhile to get on the same page with the new team. It didn't always all come together well.I also thought Flash was kind of a asshole in this at times.

Overall fun, while not mind-blowing. I hope it picks up some because it's just good, and with this team it could be great. A 3 out of 5.

Story: Pete is back to having no luck and a shitty life. All the great things he was given, a company, a good job, his degree from college, it is ALL ripped away within moments. But it isn't all bad, Peter gets to get back with MJ. There is a silver lining. However, what happens when Spider-man and Peter Parker split up? What happens when a new bug villain makes a entrance and knows Spider-man's true identity? What is Kraven up to?

Art: Probably the strongest part. I fucking love Ottlys art. He did great on invincible and no different here. Some awesome action scenes, funny reactions, emotional moments, all displayed wonderfully.

Enjoyment: Loved the heck out of Peter and MJ. It felt really well done. I also am really intrigued with this new villain, and the power is scary. I think the art is great and makes this a really uplifting and fun title to read. Spider-man is funny again!

What didn't work: I like Spencer's work most of the time but my god, we don't need 15 speech bubbles every page. Let this shit breath man! Too wordy and also too much all in one page. It's just paced weirdly.

Overall, fun and exciting. Not amazing but a pretty good start. Hoping it continues to improve. A 3 out of 5.

Story: So here we have three different storylines all happening at the time of Blackest Night event. The first deals with the batfamily. So we have Batman (Dick) and Damien and Tim all trying to survive in Gotham along side Gordan and Barbara. When the rings bring back Dick and Tim's family things get bad for the young crusaders. Next up we have Superman and Superboy dealing with their own issues in smallville and the return of a certain father. Last but not least is the story of the Teen Titans dealing with their loss and return of many, including a baby.

Art: Overall, each one has pretty solid art. A little too much sexy posing in Teen Titans one (Which is odd considering it's the ones featuring teens but...) but the fights look great, gruesome, and fun. The superman one especially looks menacing and badass big fights.

Enjoyment: There's surprisingly a lot to enjoy here. I like we got three different stories that all have closure. I like them all dealing with their personal demons who have now manifested. I also thought most of the dialogue was solid, and this was from 3 very different writers. The more horror approach to most of these stories was a welcomed addition.

What I didn't like: As I mentioned, the weird sexy poses of teens was odd at points. Bigger problem is every story kind of happens the same way. Issue 1, surprised the dead have return. Issue 2 losing to the dead and giving in. Issue 3, fighting back. It's kind of repetitive after the Superman story.

Overall, pretty damn fun. I wasn't blown away but none of the stories bored me. I'm kind of excited to try volume 2. A 3.5 out of 5.

Story: This was a more weird story than straight narrative. Basically, from the events of the last chapter, Jamie is offically dead. Or so we believe. This is comics...nobody stays dead. So with that Jamie is jumping through various different universes in this story. At the same time the team is dealing with the loss of their leader and not in a very good way. Fighting, screaming, and bickering. Wolverine comes by to say hey and introduces some old teammates to the new x-factor team.

Art: Overall pretty solid. This series is not on its stride of keeping up to date with the art and not mix matching again. The designs and such are always a big plus.

Enjoyment: I liked some of the alternate realities. My favorite being if Scarlet witch said "No more Humans" instead of "No more Mutants". A really sick future that is scary as shit. I also liked the x-factor bickering and bitching to each other, it makes them feel more real and like a family. The ending is leading up to something interesting.

What didn't work: Didn't really care for some of the alternate realities. The worse being the doctor strange one. Also, it felt too obvious they would be coming back.

Overall, not the strongest volume. While still fun and entertaining it was missing the oomph I would expect from the series. A 3 out of 5.

Story: This volume actually gives us a lot of world building. Spider takes his assistant to her boyfriends download. Which basically means his body burns up and his soul is downloaded into the world of the internet or computer. Then we have a hit out on Spider! That's right. Someone didn't like what he wrote about them. Not only that but you have the dog police force after him. One individual dog is really pissed with Spider for having his balls cut off. Yep. You read that right.

Art: Love it. Everything is so unique here. The designs of the characters, the ugly yet somehow beautiful city, oh and the facial emotions are funny as hell. This is one of the most unique looking comics in the best way.

Enjoyment: Tons of great world building, getting to know Spider a bit more, and plenty of hilarious moments. I really loved the pacing here too. Splitting this book into giving us amazing world building and well made dialogue, this book is nearly flawless in the way it works. Politics, satire, funny as hell characters, this book has it all.

What didn't work: Everything worked TBH.

Overall, fantastic. This is shaping up to be one of my favorite series of all time.

Story: This one takes the stories of Wonder Woman, JLA, and Flash while Blackest Night is going on. With the Flash you deal with the Rogue Gallery and Flash family trying to survive the outbreak of Black Lanterns. Then have JLA dealing with returning members saying goodbye or killing the new JLA. Last but not least is Wonder Woman and her story is really only 1 issue before the outbreak and then 2 during the event.

Art: Overall, pretty solid. Especially the shift of the JLA themes, looked dark but well done. I also enjoyed the violence as this event feels like a major zombie outbreak.

Enjoyment: I enjoyed some of the JLA story but even as I know a lot of DC characters, half of them here not too familiar with. but the fights were great. I also liked the Rogue stuff a lot, both sad, and well done. Flash family was solid too.

What didn't work: Wonder Woman story is okay at best. To easy to guess what will happen. Also, some of the JLA story was boring.

Overall, a pretty solid contributing chapter to a fun event. Volume 1 was better but this is a 3 out of 5.

Overall, fantastic. This is shaping up to be one of my favorite series of all time.

Story: After the events of the last volume our hero, Willa is on the run. Soon after trying to escape she gets caught in maybe a worst situation. Bugs aren't as prone to humans now that gravity is gone, they've got a little assholish. However, what happens when a new colony of people wants to make a revolution. To fight back? Who will be in their way?

Art: Still saying very strong. Designs and world building is nice with that art. I did think sometimes it looked a little plain in the background though.

Enjoyment: Enjoyed a lot of the events here, it moved at a nice pace, and Willa remains one of the better protagonist in a series. I also think the villain is pretty interesting which is a nice surprise. Oh and the ending is leaving this wide open for some crazy shit coming.

What didn't work: Less grounded, no pun intended. Gigantic bugs and stuff gets more into fantasy. I also think this one was a little more predictable.

Overall, solid and fun. I didn't love it but I liked it still. Hoping volume 3 brings it back up a bit though.
