Cool idea but bad exacution. I liked the idea of all these characters coming together, and wolvie is super cute, but the art goes down the longer the series goes and the writing feels the need to explain to you everything instead of showing. Overall a boring attempt on interesting ideas.
Not bad. Better than no Justice.
The thing with Justice League is that it's not always easy to write about a group of gods who are nearly unbeatable. So scott snyder decides to bring back the injustice squad. Doom squad. Evil versions to go head to head with the justice league. With Lex back to being evil will he be able to take down the justice league with his own league?
Good: art is great. Some awesome fights in this one. The dialogue can be really well done. Especially from flash or superman. I also thought the storyline was solid.
Bad: the pacing was sometimes bad. Usually when snyder went into big long exposition moments that weren't needed. Also the evil justice league been done alot.
A 3 out of 5. A decent start. I hope continues to get better.

Well I was both excited and nervous for a new writer on Jessica Jones. When Kelly Thompson was announced as writer my exciting part took over. I really wanted to see what she had for our P.I. and she delivered!
So what's Jessica up to lately? Taking care of her kid and loving Luke Cage. It's not a bad life. Then, of course someone is killing d rated superheroes. Then Jessica gets shot in the head. But wait, she is NOT dead. What is happening!?!?!
Good: art is solid throughout. I love the last issue and builds up the next story well. Jessica feels like Jessica and also not as depressing. I love Jessica relationships here.
Bad: the main twist was really easy to see coming.
Overall really fun. I want to see what else Kelly has for Jessica. A 4 out of 5!

Stopped half way. Really boring and uninspired art.
Interesting enough concept. Mix modern comics with manga and you'll get Fence.
This is about a boy filled with potential to be a great fencer but he must face off against people who've been doing this their whole life. We get the main character mixing it up with all the kids in his new school while learning to be good at fencing.
Good: there's some good humor in here. Most of the characters are pretty interesting and a nice diverse cast. I also thought they do a good job teaching you about fencing.
Bad: the art is very plain and not all that interesting to look at. The ending is also kind of sudden and this book is very short, only 4 issues.
Overall fun and I'll continue. Nothing mindblowing but enjoyable. A 3 out of 5.

Witchblade remains really fun. Mostly due to stjephan art and Marz writing.
This is half small little issues of Sara dealing with being a mom and also Dani learning to live her normal life and balance being a witchblade owner. We also have a crossover event with my boy Jackie from The Darkness series. Right before Sara has her baby heaven and hell are coming to take the baby from her so the fight of the child begins!
Good: art is really stunning when sejic is on. Just glorious painting-like art. I also thought Sara balancing her life as mom and also dating detective Gleason was great. Very banter like dialogue but it sounded real. Dani growing as a character too and even her personal life is becoming more interesting.
Bad: the first born crossover was fun but little overlong.
Overall great stuff. Witchblade is super fun series and see now why Ron Marz considered such a solid writing. A 4 out of 5.

Holy fuck, this is one BIG ass book. We're talking over 1200+ pages. Saying that, this is one of the best comics ever created.
This is a story which takes place through various years and all connecting throughout. Stories of murder, suicide, cheating, child abuse, and more. It keeps going and going with two main characters. Amy and Beth. The story spans 20+ years so with that we get different view points of both characters. Beth teen years to adult, and Amy's child years to teens. The way they eventually overlap and become together is amazing.
What works so so so well here is the gripping storyline of each individual issue. you can read 90% of these issues by itself, no need to read anything else, and still get emotion. This is a heavy book (not just literally) and it really is hard to read all in one sitting even if you're loving it. Some stories strike close to home, things we've been through, or know someone has. This is a bit like pump fiction, a bit like IT (In terms of the kids at school and them being through hell), and a bit of every crime story ever created but in the best ways.
Good: Love, love, love the hell out of the storylines with Amy and Beth. Both intriguing and heartbreaking, these stories never stop being interested. I also loved 95% of the storylines that are individually told. Side characters talking about their sex life, or cheating, or whatever is STILL so damn good. I also thought the art was great and fit the tone of dialogue perfectly.
Bad: I didn't love all the Amy Racer stories. Some went on a bit long. I get what they were there for but took me out of the story sometimes.
Overall I loved it. This will stick with me as one of the best stories in comics of all times for me. A 5 out of cool beans 5.

Rushed event feels...rushed.
SO Thor gets told he can't defend the mortals and his father whoops his butt and takes him back to Asgard. Then Sin (Red skulls daughter) finds the hidden weapon her father summoned years ago. A Hammer that gives her massive power. With it she also gives it to Hulk and The Thing and more to join her evil army. Tus the big fight begins of people dressed in big armor fighting with huge overweight weapons.
Good: The art is pretty solid throughout and there's some really solid moments of badassness. One with Bucky and another with Thor verses Hulk AND The Thing.
Bad: The storyline is all over the place. It feels extremely rushed. Deaths don't seem to stick at all. The fights basically just happen over and over without any character moment.
Yeah, it's basically one big event, like mostly, but really doesn't do much character development. We can do better. A 2 out of 5.

This is the story about three wives who take over for their mobster boyfriends. Funny enough there's a movie out now called "Widows" that has a similar idea but more about robbing banks. This is basically Irish/Italian mobster storylines.
So when these wives all team up they begin to take over their husbands business. Collecting, putting the fear in advisories, and building a empire. However, the deeper they get into the mob life the worse it gets. They drift apart, some becoming more evil than others, till the point where everyone is out for themselves.
Good: The storyline is actually pretty good despite doing similar stories of the past. The way each character changes is pretty neat, and the body count is super high so lots of surprise deaths. I also enjoyed the ending as it was as dark as expected.
Bad: The art is okayish. Some moments are great but the sketchy art sometimes makes action moments hard to follow. I also thought it felt a bit rushed in the last issue, probably needed one extra issue.
Overall enjoyable, a surprise actually, and something a bit different. A 3.5 out of 5.

This was a cool volume to get more character development but not a WHOLE lot happened overall.
This one mostly has Dani getting tricked by her new boyfriend and finding out what he really is. Which, as you might have guessed, is evil. Because British guys always are (I joke I joke) and so Dani and Sara have to face off against him. The rest is basically Sara dealing with being a Mom, visiting her sister in prison, and showing Dani they aren't perfect but they have to try.
Good: The art is stunning, because I expect nothing less from one of my favorite artist. The fights are bloody and epic, some good dialogue, some good advice to Dani from Sara, and a touching moment with Sara and her sister.
Bad: The story itself doesn't move forward much. Feels a little to episodic.
Overall it was a solid volume for character development but I can't help but feel the main story could have used more of a push. A 3 out of 5.
