Interesting enough concept. Mix modern comics with manga and you'll get Fence.

This is about a boy filled with potential to be a great fencer but he must face off against people who've been doing this their whole life. We get the main character mixing it up with all the kids in his new school while learning to be good at fencing.

Good: there's some good humor in here. Most of the characters are pretty interesting and a nice diverse cast. I also thought they do a good job teaching you about fencing.

Bad: the art is very plain and not all that interesting to look at. The ending is also kind of sudden and this book is very short, only 4 issues.

Overall fun and I'll continue. Nothing mindblowing but enjoyable. A 3 out of 5.
