So after first two volumes being pretty entertaining I was excited to read this one. Sadly, this does not live up to the last two.

I really did think they nailed Hulk, Cho, with his friends here. They're young, high spirited, superheroes. They work well together, pushing themselves up and trying to make sure everyone is happy. But the main two stories here is a famous Basketball player playing ball with Cho and then the other part is a attack on New York. Haven't read one like that before...

Overall the plotting is just meh in this one. Was kind of bored the whole way through. But I still like Cho. A 2 out of 5.

I really liked the first volume a lot where's this one was good but was missing something.

Ironheart is trying survive her new world of being a superhero. She gets her butt kicked pretty bad against a D-list villain and feels bad. But she's getting offers from pretty much every school and company possible or around. When she is trying to decide that she goes to where Doom lives and tries to figure out how to help those people. Instead she becomes queen and then...well that kind ends there when shield comes in to fix her issues.

Good: I like Riri a lot still. She's a kid who sees things different, and has issues to fit in, and she keeps trying her best. Then again have some great art and the battles are pretty intense. I love the design for her too.

Bad: The plotting is okay. I didn't really care about Dr. Doom's homeland or what was happening.

Overall fun volume but didn't blow me away like the last volume. This is more around a 2.5-3 out of 5. Still will finish this series.

I have no clue what the fuck was happening in this half the time.

So some fat dude is being made fun of by his best friend. His friend leaves, gets attacked by some bad guys, friend dials on a payphone and poof, becomes a hero! Then every single time he uses the payphone, or the dial itself, to spell out hero, he becomes one. Then some creature, woman, mask thingy comes and tells him they must fight together, however some gangsters are hunting him down and...yeah. Lost? me too.

Good: The start is interesting and the art is solid.

Bad: The storyline is honestly nonsense half the time, the characters talk weird to each other, the pacing is all over the place. I also didn't like any of the characters and the ending...what the fuck was that?

Yeah. This is a big old mess. Not the worst thing I ever read but it came off as mostly nonsense with the exception of the art. A 1.5 out of 5.

Mera is def one of my fave DC heroes. She's not ONLY a badass warrior who is now queen, she's sexy too!

If you haven't been keeping up with Aquaman, shit is not going well for the king. He was forced out of being the king and now is building an army to rise against the tyrant. Mera is being titled queen but first she must visit her people to get their approval. Orm returns, but he's a bit different than before. He met a woman and her kid and became a family. However, it's not as simple as that. He has a duty to his Kingdom and so him and Mera return together as a team but what awaits them?

Good: Mera is pretty badass. This is a cool way to show her off, see her internal thoughts, and also display her powers in a cool way. I also thought the art was solid enough and the fights were pretty exciting.

Bad: The plotting was typical, even down to the "one on one to prove who is who" thing. I also thought the Orm twist could have been better, and more interesting to go the other direction.

This was a fun mini-series. You don't need to read aquaman to enjoy this. It won't blow you away but it's a enjoyable read with a great main lead. A 3 out of 5.

Loki as a kid is adorbs. Shame he becomes a dick later on, again, though not as evilish. Kind of.

So this is the story of the young avengers going on more adventurousness trips. David, a mutant who lost his powers after House of M, decides to join the gang. Actually, he's kind of forced in to it all after something terrible happens to him and another guy. Then, well then it gets really confusing. Jumping through dimensions, visiting people who are young, but then older in our reality, it's wonky and weird.

Good: I like the characters. I think their interactions with each other are great, interesting, and funny. I think them talking about sexual orientation is smart, and makes sense, seeing as they are at that age of finding out about themselves. I also enjoyed the first issue a lot despite it feeling a bit disconnected from the rest.

Bad: The plot is all over the place. Honestly, I can't even tell what the heck is happening half the time. Also, the ending was left a kind of meh feeling.

Overall, I want to love this book, but like most of Kieron's titles I just enjoy it. Good on characters, meh on plotting. A 3 out of 5.

Batman is a god to many people in Gotham, but he's just a broken man here.

A look into the mind of a man who's devastated after being left by the love of his life. Bruce has jury duty, which in itself is pretty funny, but it's against Mr. Freeze. This time Bruce has a little look into his own faults, at what he did, and how he hunted down Freeze and brought him to justice. He also questions the jury, asking them to look beyond just the good of what Batman did, and the facts of what he had done in his investigation.

Then the other end is Bruce and Dick working together. Nightwing is the polar opposite of Batman when it comes to fighting. His banter and whimsical ways couldn't be more different than Bruce's dark and brooding ones. This leads to some great, laugh out loud, and heart tugging moments. Then something terrible happens which forces Bruce to go on a hunt against a true villain.

Good: This volume is big on emotions and family dynamic of father/son. If you're a fan of Nightwing or seeing him take the Batman Mantle again, is really great. Also the start of the book is pretty great getting to see Bruce take down his own Batman Persona was great. I also really dug the whole last three issues as it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Bad: The case did go on a little long. Probably could have been two issues.

Overall, one of the strongest volumes so far and that's saying a lot. Between 5 and this volume, King's run will go down as one of my favorite Batman runs. A 4.5 out of 5.

Okay back on my Gantz run here.

This whole volume is just one big fight. Against the same foe who seems unkillable. But after every single member who survived so far teams up they use their combined tactical fighting to take down the unstoppable-like monster. But that's not all! We see who survived and who didn't make it at the end, a return of an important character, and the end game to the series. That's right folks, mankind is ending soon!

Good: The fights are always pretty great. Some kills in here are pure fucked up and others just gory for the sake of it. The ending was good, set up pieces for this series to continue for sure. Oh, and vampire man became useful for once.

Bad: The shouting, standing still, 9 panels of the same scene, can get a bit annoying. Also, this felt like the LEAST amount of deaths in the series. Interesting.

Overall another balls to the walls action packed volume. While it lost it's shock value it still remains pretty entertaining. A 3 out of 5.

This was pretty fun, if not super safe, but it worked.

This is all about New Mutants. Who are they? Mostly kids who not sure how to deal with being mutants first few days at the Xavier School. It's kind of cool to see the old "new" mutants are now much older and more mature. One of them, Moonstar, is even recruiting for Xavier to find kids lost in the world and trying to survive. So half the story is a rescue mission of different kids and then those kids learning to live with their abilities while getting used to their new school.

Good: I really liked how the characters interacted. They all felt pretty human, and most of all teenagers. The way they used their powers was believable and also the horror of being a mutant and how society treats you was on full display. The cover art was amazing.

Bad: What in the all of fucks was this art? It was pretty terrible if I'm being honest. I just couldn't get over the movements and odd bodies here. I also thought it was a bit safe, never felt like anyone was in danger.

Overall, besides the art it was pretty enjoyable. I dunno if I'll finish this series or just skip to the next run but this was fun none the less. A 3 out of 5.

This is my guilty pleasure series for sure.

So last we left off the sisters were kind of drifting apart. Not really getting along all that well. This time we have a new love interest who pops up for Mei. However, Mei doesn't seem to want this attention. She seems to want to be left alone but in this volume she'll have to deal with a sister who cares for her as well as her dad returning into her life.

Good: Watching the sisters actually bond is kind of nice. Also, the dad stuff, and losing family actually was pretty well done (despite Mei dad being a piece of shit). Also, the lesbian kissing stuff is hot, yeah I'm shallow in that way, what can I say.

Bad: Some of the humor falls flat, which is usually a problem with me in manga anyway. I also thought the new love interest was kind of silly but I can see her being a problem later.

Overall, still silly, over the top, and not too much substances but it's still a ton of fun. A 3 out of 5.

Whoa this was one of the more fun X-men titles I've read in awhile.

So Jubilee wants to come home to the X-Men. That's her family and sometimes everyone needs their family a little bit. However, the baby is bringing something along with it. This is all about the X-Men female team and them working out their differences and becoming a team. We got older members like Storm and Rachel but newer, younger ones, like Kitty and Jubilee. Together they must take down a almost unstoppable machine like villain who's taken over the body of their teammate while also learning to work together.

Good: I really enjoyed the dialog in here. Easy, fun, and most of all the characters felt like a team. I also liked the very last issue since it got to show Jubilee in a new way, how much she cares for the baby she's brought with her, and how much Logan has grown. It's heartfelt and well done as well as the other side of the story of the women working to become a team.

Bad: The many enemy gets taken out a little too easy.

Overall this was really really fun. I love this team, their interactions, and I want more. I dunno if the rest of the series is as good but this was damn fun. A 4 out of 5.
