Fitzrada originally belonged to the United States Army. He was aggressive and ill mannered, causing his riders to really struggle with him. The Army planned to put him down, but a girl living on base with her military father persuaded him to buy her the horse. They went on to be show jumping champions. The story was really sweet, the bond that Jane had with Fitzrada. I was rooting for them the whole time, even though these events had already happened years ago. I loved the story. He was a beautiful horse as well. I googled pictures of Jane and Fitzrada. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in equestrian sports.

I loved this book! I am not sure why, but it really never crossed my mind that there were house staff in the White House like you would find in manor houses. I have no clue why that never occurred to me, and I am fairly ashamed to admit that. A lot of the staff appear to be generational, with children taking over for their parents. I liked hearing about the staff and the special relationships that had with each other and certain presidents. Anyone interested in presidential history should read this book about work on the other side of the door.

This book is the personal account of the Manson Family murders from the family of the late Sharon Tate. Information from various members of the Tate family was gathered from home videos, letters, journals, photographs, etc. This book really paints a picture of what life is like for family members of a murder victim- an exceptionally high profile one at that. It also shows that just because the family recieves justice in the form of conviction, they continue to lobby against all the parole hearings. A lot of people think that people move on once they get a conviction, but they have to endure appeals and parole hearings. Is it ever really over for the remaining members of the family? I found this book to be very interesting, and would recommend for anyone interested in the Manson Family.

I knew what I was getting into with this book, as most books detailing the horrific goings on in concentration camps are equally grim. It certainly did not disappoint in that area. This book detailed lives of those who were tormented and abused in the camps, as well as lives and careers of the SS doctors and guards. It seems weird for me to say that I had been looking forward to reading this book for months, but I have been looking forward to it since I got it for my birthday last year. It was a long book, and took a while for me to get through since I was reading this one while my kids were in dance class, but it was worth it to get another perspective of life in thr camps. This is something that everyone should know about. This book was well researched, and included personal interviews and quotes. It was truly moving.

I thought this book was really neat. I always enjoy learning about the reasons people decide to join the military, and how they got through the training. I had no idea that Brandon Webb trained some of the more well known names in modern history, including Chris Kyle and Marcus Luttrell. His experiences as an instructor and experiences while deployed were really amazing to read. I thought this was a great book. I got it on Audible, and my only complaint was that I would have preferred the author to narrate. He broke in a few times throughout the book, and I liked his voice much better than the person who narrated.

This book is written by the same author who wrote Hitler's Furies. I was excited to see this book in the bookstore the other day, but I didn't get it. I remembered it when I got my Audible credits for the month, so I used one to purchase this book. This book is about the discovery of a photo that was taken during a Mass killing event in the Ukraine during World War II. I loved hearing about the detective work to uncover who was in the photograph and who it was taken by, as well as the search for the specific site that was pictured. This was a very interesting book, full of investigative detail. I really enjoyed it.

I really liked this book. I loved learning about the ravens and how they are cared for. I follow Christopher Skaife on Twitter, which is how I found out about this book. I love all of the photos he posts of the birds, and I was really looking forward to reading this. I liked learning about each bird and how they got their names. It was a good read, especially while trapped in a hotel.

This is another biography by Joyce Tyldesley focusing on a Pharaoh, this time Ramesses. I know I have said before that I love learning about Ancient Egypt, so it comes as no surprise that I enjoyed this book. I always find this author's work to be well written and well researched. I never get bored reading any of her work.

This was a really short book. It was only an hour and a half on Audible. This book was on the suggested reading list for The Last Podcast On The Left. This was a wild case, and it was very interesting to hear the facts and motives behind these terrible actions.

I bought this book, simply because I follow Kris Paronto on social media. I watched 13 Hours and read the book, and was very interested in this book. I enjoyed learning more about him as a person, and not just as part of the Benghazi unit. This book was really inspiring. I really enjoyed reading it.
