Super quick palette cleanser read.
Good lead up to the series introducing the characters! Would definitely continue reading on!
You know, Lucy Score books are all so slow for me. The setting is so cute and the characters are loveable but the stories always run really slow for me. The characters are all loveable. The sass and banter with all of them were so fun. I especially loved Hazel and Zoey and their friendship. They're hilarious. But the world building with Cam's chapters... For a small town? It was a lot for some reason. I also didnt super love Cam.... He was too grumpy, even though I know he's a grump. Idk, it just rubbed me wrong.
Also a third act break up 50-70 away from the end?! Killed me. Did not like that haha.

“Can you walk or you wanna sit there screaming?” I asked the redhead. “I think I’ll whimper for another minute if that’s cool.”
"The worst thing that ever happened to you is still the worst thing that ever happened to you. You don’t have to feel guilty that something even worse didn’t happen. That’s really fuckin’ stupid.”

Abby can make you swoon in 15 pages or less. At least she did for me. This is instant attraction trope done right! The only thing that bugged me was 1. I don't like modern references to things in books so the many ACOTAR /Rhysand reference bugged me (the first time was fine but she brought it up again like 5x after) and whatever Tiktok challenge she mentioned. Some things were just off. 2. Xavier was like... almost too perfect. Like I kept going "is this guy even fictionally real?!?" #VILF
The emotional parts of this book hit hard. I've never had to experience a situation with dementia so I can only imagine but those scenes were so heart wrenching.
I loved that this book showed so many aspects and relationships of love.
If you love This Is Us or The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang, you'll love this one.

This is why I hated humans. They were the worst animals on the planet.
"Because most people don't say what they think. Animals do. They're transparent. Their body language doesn't lie. They always tell you the truth if you pay attention. People lie all the time."
They say that you won't remember what someone said, but you'll always remember how they made you feel.
"I can't stand people who are rude to service workers," she said. "It's the best litmus test there is. That and putting your cart away at the grocery store."
"Because if you were my wife you would be my world. Everything starts with you and ends with you. Anything else is just the stuff that happens in the middle."
"Some things are worth remembering, Samantha. No matter how much they hurt."
Sometimes the challenges we face either break is or they make us stronger. And sometimes they do both.
Maybe that's the last thing we forget. Or we never forget it at all. Not really. We lose the words to say it. We lose the ability to show it. But we never lose the ability to feel it or recognize it when we see it.
Love is the brightest color in a gray world.

Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About Life, Love, and Baking Biscuits
This was more like a "How to Throw a Garden Party" written and read by Reese Witherspoon rather than a memoir or biography. Which is fine, but it wasn't that exciting. Still a fun read though to hear brief insights to why Reese loves certain things. She seems like a fun person.
This was super fun, especially listening to Anna Kendrick narrate her own thoughts. She seems like a super chill, down to Earth, real human being and that is always so fun to listen about.
comfort reread. still as amazing as the first time I read it!

“People like that are going to treat you like you’re not enough or you’re not worthy, but that’s their own insecurities coming out. They’re bullies, and they’ll stop when you make them stop. If you start loving yourself, their words will no longer have meaning.
“You following me?” A content smile pulls at his lips. “Hey, Stevie girl.”

It was good and I liked the characters and their growth but something was missing for me.
I don't understand how I fall off the TL Swan train over and over because I absolutely love her books every time I come back to them. I love the characters, the banter, the story, the plot, the ups and downs, the spice, it's all so good! She even had me giggling a couple of times!
