I love Carrie and always have since her Idol days so this was fun. It was validating for me to hear all of her tips and tricks were things I also value and advise others. A few chapters her trainer or nutritionist would go into detail about a workout plan or diet plan that seemed a bit long but very insightful! I love fit52 and the flexibility and easiness and fun it is!

I especially loved hearing her experience with fitness and nutrition during her pregnancies, since it's applicable to me now!

She's awesome and continues to be awesome and one of my favorites!

Who you were influences who you are.

Workout when you can for the days you can't - some days things come up as life is full of surprises, that's okay

Your body is an adaptation machine.

Stay consistent with inconsistencies.

Exercising when pregnant is not the same as exercising when you're not.

When you eat the leftover food on your kids plate you are playing the role of human garbage can, and a garbage can doesn't have fitness goals.

Even when I workout, I feel guilty because I think "That's an hour I could have spent with my kids." Logically, I know that I am a better mom because I workout. It makes me feel happier, calmer, and stronger, and it gives me the energy and endurance I need to be the mom my kids need."

Don't let guilt be an excuse to make bad decisions for yourself.

There is nothing better for a child than happy, healthy, balanced, loving parents.

I was mostly bored... I didn't understand where this story was going. It has a really cute meet cute in the beginning and the set up was good but then nothing else seemed to carry the book forward. The plot points that did happen were good, just kinda meh.

This wrapped up this duology so well! Soooo good! So so good. Lots of excitement and kept me on my toes questioning characters a lot of the times. Loved all the adventure and I didn't want this story to end.

This would make a cute YA Netflix movie. The character and family/family friends dynamic was reminding me of The Summer I Turned Pretty (kinda?) and a free other YA novels. Maybe it was just the setting. The main characters are very YA so it kinda got annoying but reminding myself this was YA made me enjoy this read for what it is!

This was a cute and fun romcom of two authors who become friends, write a best seller, go their separate ways, and then reconnect when they have to work together again.

I think the writing style is neat and the premise of the story is interesting but I could not get into the storyline. I was just mostly bored.

I could not click with the plot or characters. It reminded me of Crazy Rich Asians meets something...maybe Devil Wears Prada? I can't think of what else it reminds me of but just the sense a hardworking FMC that doesn't come from much gets caught up in the false life of high society until she's exposed... The intention was there but I just wasn't really into it.

This was like a Polish fairytale inspired Beauty and the Beast and was done really well! Lots of great magic and a fun read. Even the end was bittersweet but so well done and really tied the story up.
