Will pick up again. But for now, I’m not reading further.

It starts out incredible slow. Once you get over that 30% mark it picks up a bit of speed.

It’s certainly a mystery but it’s not a “who done it” in the traditional sense. It’s more of an unfolding of events.
More thriller than mystery.

It was enjoyable and well written. And it has that strong Lucy Foley interconnective-ness that I love about her books.

Not my fav in the series. A lot of questionable things but considering the time in which it was written it makes sense it would end up on here. Happy the gang got a good ending (almost all). I’m a suckers for a reunion.
Overall story kinda a drag.

Starts out strong and fun.
Yet, the main character, Dani, had a problem with making assumptions which caused a lot of  miscommunication. To be fair, the whole premise of this book is that she’s a bit petty.

Wished there was more about the spite house itself but shifting the attention towards her relationship with Wyatt was great. Also, her relationship with her landlord & cousin was wholesome and enjoyable.

The Dating Plan

This book just made me realize that the fake dating trope + second chance trope give me the ick. And it’s the whole plot.

The story of the Riva family is incredible yet painful in all of its complexities.

The way TJR writes about love, fame, family, responsibility & self-worth in this book is engaging and thought provoking. I love the way that she makes these characters feel real and the descriptions of what everyone was doing at the party made those scenes extremely rich.

My heart still hurts thinking about this book.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown

Honestly, I didn’t really like their banter. Eve was literally running this B&B and he would find any reason to not like her.

May give it another go later on.

Well written. You truly are submerged into this world and feel like you’re traveling along these countries & the bridge. The plot was great - even when you predict where things are going, she manages to add fresh new twists.

The strong miscommunication trope is the reason why this isn’t a 5⭐️.

A charming love story between Britta & Wes, who are the most wholesome and lovely couple.
The commentary on body image, self-love and fitness was one of my favorite parts of this story.
Need to point out that the consequences toward the end stressed me out a bit.
