I don’t know what McFarlane puts into these books but she’s laced this one with it.
It’s incredibly funny, introspective and endearing. Touches upon heavy topics in a way that feels grounded yet doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Truly could not put it down.

This book is a bit predictable and at times it lacked depth & development when it came to the plot. However, Hepworth’s story telling is incredible engaging — I had a hard time putting it down.
Honestly, 10 year old me could have used this one haha
As sweet as I remember it from being a kid. Although, either a lot went over my head back then or I had forgotten some of the plot lines because it’s a bit deeper than I recalled.

This book is so slow but so much happens it’s incredible!! The toxic female friendship represented on here is equal parts cathartic and scary.
I adore that Ferrante gives life to about 1000 neighbourhood characters. It grounds this book in a deep sense of reality.
I’m genuinely finding it hard to adequately articulate how wonderful, sad and real this book
