It just wasn’t good.
If my Bookclub hadn’t randomly drawn it for this month I wouldn’t have finished it.

The storyline and plot were not that bad and the only reason it’s getting more than one star.

What truly ruins this book is the writing.
It was genuinely painful to read.

I’m sad to say goodbye to the gang… knowing there will be future spin offs, I’m mostly sad to let Avery go.
She was such a clever and enjoyable MC.
I’m not completely content with how things tie up but I am satisfied. Truly a bittersweet way to end a wonderful series!

This was a bit too predictable which made it feel like a drag to read.
Also, Bee’s whole quirky girl personality was really distracting and at times annoying instead of relatable and endearing.

This was marvelous, uneasy, charming, reflective and clever.

First of all, I want to be Mad Zott when I grow up!!
Elizabeth zott is a legend and I’m currently train my dog to be as smart at six-thirty.

But what I truly loved about Garmus’ writing was her side characters. The way she wrote their thoughts, motivations and clever remarks enriched this story.

I will say that although this has some incredibly hilarious moments, it’s also a profoundly sad and alarming story. Please take care and look up content warnings.

King has me in a choke hold with her storytelling. The metaphors and ambitious plots. Yet this was also simple, digestible and filled with incredible depth.

There’s so much I could say about each story. How she ends each one. How much they can make you feel in such a short amount of time.
But what I think makes this a good collection is how I cannot stop thinking about them. The raw humanity they each portray.

DID NOT FINISH: 43%

I’ve been “finishing” this book for 8 months now…
As short as it is and as compelling as the story appear to be, I think it genuinely looses me in the translation

This was funny & more relatable than I thought it would be.
One of those things that makes you question whether you’ve ever experienced or had an original thought ever.

I think the ending was a bit random and not as structured at the rest of the book. Also, the description of how a didgeridoo sounds felt unnecessary and a bit insulting.
