First of all, not this book making me grin and giddy!!
I loved how grounded the story felt (this is where those Evvie Drake comparisons made sense to me) and genuinely just how fun it was to read.
That “third act” breakup lasted for way too long which was frustrating and it had me questioning how monaghan was going to bring it around so that I still rooted for these two.
Anyways, If this becomes a film I need Andrew Garfield to star!!!!
They lost me after sutterain ngl.
Also kept checking this wasn’t written by a man… it gave that vibe so many times. I don’t know

This book genuinely made me value my privacy and anonymity.
I understand that a tell all of areas of a century old institution is so rare but gosh was he boring.
ALSO, the royal pov is wild - “Africa is mine” …. And mostly the use of the word Africa almost the entire time was infuriating because they were not talking about the entire continent but a few very specific countries. So do keep in mind that the imperial & racial undertones will be present. Some acknowledged and some not.

This was fun, then a bit frustrating, then steamy, then stressful,
and then ended in a bit of a frustrating note 😅
This books look at the Hollywood acting culture and alcoholism are really at center stage. Wilder does a great job at discussing these themes and still being back that romance element.
However, the story felt endless.

This was sweet and pleasantly funny. I think the writing got a bit repetitive at times but I enjoy the previews into the previous couples on this book.
This leaned heavily on the marriage of convenience troupe but it was self aware enough that it allowed for plenty of ridiculously funny moments.

This was a decent read. However, the casual misogyny was off putting from the start. I also caught on to the twist pretty early on. Had I not I think it would have been more enjoyable.
