Always fun and light books when I need them.

Funny and absurd (in a good way) it was a nice and light amusing read/listen.

Very well written, I thought both Sam and Annie were well fleshed out as characters, but good Lord the first half of this book was so depressing and devastating. I really struggled to get thru it - poor Sam has come home after he fought for his country and survived with so many physical and mental scars, and not a single person besides his mom was on his side from the get-go. No one had empathy or compassion, and not even his wife would trust him or believe the best for more than a heartbeat, to the point that I started to really dislike her. There was just so much despair and shame for him that it was absolutely heartbreaking to me.

The second half of the book picked up and the truth slowly made its way out thankfully. It was rolled out well at that point and was hard to put down. But the first half almost ruined it for me to be honest. It felt like my worst nightmare.

A lot of great tools, information and examples. The author gives great reasons and background into why we often have poor boundaries or how certain responses and lack of boundaries are influenced by environments or events, while explaining how to reframe and make better choices with those around us.
