I'm not quite sure what to say. It definitely gives a lot of perspective even with only 6 stories. They all varied greatly, so no 2 story was too similar.

It took a while to get past the way Javier narrated, as it felt choppy, but damn... this is a fantastic book. It's amazing the level of detail, and the flow fit each event of the journey.

The chapters are very long, but that didn't hurt the story in the slightest.

It's a tear jerker. Not from beginning to end, but for me notably the end of chapter 2 and the end of the book.

This is gonna sit with me for a while. I highly recommend.

I was not a fan of the audiobook, but the book itself is powerful. The narrator couldn't find their voice, and edits were obvious and low quality. The poetry I think suffered because of that.

Otherwise this is a very intense book about a 16-17 year old girl going through a crisis of identity, belonging, and their unfortunate discovery of drugs which turned their life upside-down.

Not for the faint of heart.

This is a long book, yet only a short amount of time goes by as far as story goes compared to earlier entries. A lot of stuff happens in a short amount of time. There were a lot of surprises, some were kinda obvious, others came out of nowhere and left me slack jawed. I liked the switching between characters, it didn't feel jarring, but if I were to complain about 1 thing is that I think Darrow was not in the book enough. When he has to share the story with 4 other "main" characters it makes sense, but still... that said my favorite other "main" character was Ephraim. I was most invested in his chapters.

So many people died in this book... yet there are still countless more! It's a fairly large cast of people to remember.
