This book goes straight into the list of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s so tender in dealing with so many tense and sad things. The characters are beautifully drawn. The trans rep is complicated but also pure. I wish I could read it for the first time again right now.

If you want a Black romance novel with a twist that will make you scream, it’s this one. Can’t wait for a film.

I feel so conflicted. I didn’t put *the plot thing* together completely and that was partially a surprise. I really liked one thread of the story but not the others. The writing is really compelling but I didn’t adore the world building either. 4*s because I did enjoy and care and I love a bit of wholesome queerness in among the sadness. Interested to see what Book Two is about.

I’ll be honest that this is a middle grade book that is definitely *for middle grade readers*. It is great to read aloud but didn’t always keep me engaged when I was reading ahead for content checks. 2.5/3*s for *me* as a reader but I would have been obsessed when I was younger. It reminds me a bit of Hacker by Malorie Blackman .

The Infinite is a fun story about neurodivergent children who can jump in time and they go on an adventure to save the world. The details are gorgeous and there are loads of things in it I would have told my mum were really cool when I was little. Definitely recommend if you have small book lovers in your life.

I loved this book. It was so intense and dramatic but the text is simply stunning. It’s so short but you get so much story and character. I wish I could read it new tomorrow.
