This year I've read a much more interesting another book by this author - The Breakdown. Here, there's too much staying in main character's (Alice's) head, and the constant repetition of the same facts. I didn't like Alice, I was annoyed by her behaviour (e.g. the way she treated Leo), and wasn't really that much interested in the mystery itself.
Would probably dnf it if it wasn't a buddy read with my mom:)

• I love Laura Griffin's books, so much so that I've re-read the whole Traces series at least once • they have just the right amount of mystery & romance and spice • this is a standalone, which I enjoyed last year as well • I always go back to her books when I am in a reading slump, or just need a comfort read (can a crime & mystery book be a comfort read? you bet!) •
