A high school senior is drugged and raped at a Cheerleading camp. What follows is the story of survival and bravery. What I adore about this story is the way it sticks it to ever bit of rape culture that exists. It doesn't forgive the boys who label Hermione as a slut (in fact it slaps them across the face) it doesn't forgive the media who blame the women. It doesn't even forgive the anti-choices crowd who would have you shame a woman for keeping an unwanted baby. This book is honest about rape, honest about abortion, and honest about how strong you can be when society tries to tell you to be weak. Strong recommend.

Much better than book one, still had a lot of weaknesses. Weirdly lacking in description until violence is one of those issues. Seriously there is a LOT of violence in the lady 90 pages. So be ready for that. Basically a sports anime but in book form.
Holy cats you guys. This was bad. Truly bad. Poorly plotted, badly written, characters who are at best full and at worst unbearably annoying. It all combines into a rich tapestry of shit. At no less that three times I looked at my place in the book thinking I must surely be close to the end only to discover I was no where near it! HARD. PASS! I've seen some reviews comparing this to my all time favorite book "the night circus" and I'm so goddamn insulted y'all. The Night Circus is a work of poetic art. This is.... basically all of my least favorite tropes from YA rolled into a single book. Not even current tropes, y'all but old worthless ones! Why did I finish it? Honestly I wanted to see if it was shit all the way down. YUP! It is!
I admit I walked into this expecting to dislike it. I was pleasantly surprised!
SPOILER ALERT!
The women in this book are either a)faking rape or b) tricking men into sex without condoms to get themselves knocked up or c) so obsessed with themselves that they refuse to recognize warning signs. Legit When I googled the author and discovered it was written but a man I was NOT AT ALL SURPRISED!

I have a lot of super strong feelings about this book. So well written, so real, so good!
