A high school senior is drugged and raped at a Cheerleading camp. What follows is the story of survival and bravery. What I adore about this story is the way it sticks it to ever bit of rape culture that exists. It doesn't forgive the boys who label Hermione as a slut (in fact it slaps them across the face) it doesn't forgive the media who blame the women. It doesn't even forgive the anti-choices crowd who would have you shame a woman for keeping an unwanted baby. This book is honest about rape, honest about abortion, and honest about how strong you can be when society tries to tell you to be weak. Strong recommend.
