Idk. It's... fine? It's kinda boring. It's way too long and I thought it was a stand alone but it isn't so why the hell is this one SO LONG! Too many plots too many characters too much going on. But I can see the appeal. I can see why people could find the world interesting. I'm just... idk. I can't decide what I feel about it...

This one is so good y'all! Reads like a classic fairytale and is way more "adult" than it's YA placement suggests. A lot of metaphors to unpack in it as well, including the "women healers are witches" metaphor that's kind of my all time favorite.

Missing more or less all of the charm of the source material and lacking in the suspense and interest of a mystery, I was exceptionally bored by this book. It feels like it's trying too hard.
