THIS BOOK WAS ALRIGHT. (So I'm really leaning towards 3.5 stars).

I decided to read the sequel because I was curious where the author would take the book next.

I liked that there wasn't some crappy love triangle and that Mya & Kol were still an item, but for the most part the rest was slow.

It's prehistoric times, so it's not like they have much in the way besides hunting and betrothals between clans. Just like the first book another clan was an issue and conflict arose. While there was a little more 'adventure,' I still found myself skimming through the last 100 pages to get the gist of the story.

I seriously love everything I read by this author. Her "self-help" books have meaning and always make me think how I can daily strive to be better. Read it!!

Super great book! Really enjoyed it. Quick read, plenty of love tension, sword fighting, and siren singing.

WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP DYING. I mean you turn the page and someone is stabbed, or lit on fire, poisoned, etc?!

I'm all for some devious demises, but there's a lot in this series so far haha.

Finally pieces are starting to fall together, and I'm just hoping it ends how it 'should' (😉) or goodness gracious.

Still reading these haha. This one gave me more of what I was looking for and added to the depth of each character. I love that Nic got some spotlight and was able to shine on his own. I like where the love interests are going for each character and hope those continue to develop. I'm still on the fence of whether this really should've been drawn out to 6 books because sometimes the story does drag, but I'm still interested enough to continue!

Book 2 was a solid read. Still A LOT of story lines, but with the first book as the base, things made more sense. The 'twists' were generally easy to guess, yet that didn't stop me from continuing haha. I have my assumptions for the other novels, but not quite sure where it's going to end up.

Not too bad!

My Dad sent this to me because we're desperately struggling to help out baby sleep. This was a quick read with some encouraging insight for us to try and help her.

3.5 stars*

I've had this on my TBR pile for awhile and since the last one came out I decided to go ahead and read them all. I thought it was a good book, but there is A LOT of story lines! I had to make sure what chapter I was reading so I knew what plot I was following. I unfortunately could guess each 'twist' WAYY before it happened, but I was still intrigued enough by the overall scheme of the novels. I'll keep reading these and see where we get too!

Really enjoyed this book! It kept me very much occupied on my runs. I was worried that the love triangle would be an issue (and am still somewhat concerned for the next book), but in Roar it wasn't that way! The love was captivating and not insta-love. The unique twist to how Roar finds who she is was a surprise to me and surely will be the forefront of the next installment. I'm wondering how the Storm Lord will play into everything and am interested in his back-story. Good read!
