It was hard to get into but then I was hooked.
I enjoyed being part of a hive & getting to know more about bees & their ways. Would recommend this book if you’re tired about reading about humans.

I feel like it was fine but sometimes it read like fanfiction which is not what I’m looking for when I pick up a novel? Also I do t really know anything about American politics (nor do I care that much if I’m honest), so those parts did not really get me at all. I enjoyed the utopia the author created but it directly makes me reflect upon real life where nothing in this book might be happening soon, so I leave that book behind with mixed feelings.

enjoyable summer read!! I read the German translation and sometimes the language was a bit weird in my opinion so that’s why I gave it four starts instead of five.

Edit: Since I’m still thinking about this book frequently I’m upping my rating to five
