This is a DNF for me. I just can’t get into the language of the book. I bought it looking for a cheesy summer romance read so I wasn’t expecting a spectacular piece of writing, but I just didn’t care about the characters and I couldn’t stand how pompous the Male lead characters were in this book. I honestly found it hard to pick this book up. I did finish Velvet Touch to see if it would at any point get better, but it didn’t and I chose not to continue on to Renaissance Man.

I DNF’d this book for now. I feel like there’s too much going on in this book with not a lot of pages to flesh out the story. Perhaps if I was younger this book would appeal to me more.

I love the simplicity of the illustrations in this retelling of the Snow Queen. They are so beautiful and modern. I absolutely enjoyed reading this stunning book.

This book is a definite mood setter for fall.
