Unfortunately I don't think this is the f1 romance author for me. Or maybe I just don't enjoy f1 romances. 

I binged the first two books in this series on audio. I truly just didn't feel connected to the main characters in these books. I thought the males were kind of flat and just not interesting. Maybe they compared too much to drivers who don't peak my interest. Equally I thought the females just fell flat. For me in a romance if the characters don't appeal the story just does not quite appeal to me unfortunately because romance books are so character driven. 

I was looking for a quick, easy romance book. This one has cowboys so I was excited to give it a try. However, the male romantic interest felt like a man written by a man for women. I wasn't having a good time reading this book so I decided to move on.

I really struggled with this one. I like the vibes of the book. I think it is really well written. I started reading it right off the back of watching Nobody Wants This. I was in the right mindset, but I think this book just wasn't the one for me. I think I was anticipating more supernatural elements that didn't show up soon enough for me. I also felt like some of the scenes were just too drawn out/long written. 

There wasn't anything inherently wrong about this book. It feels very Buffy the Vampire Slayer mixed with Goosebumps. I just wish I had read this when I bought it and was excited to read it because I think it lost quite a bit of it's appeal. 

I have read from this author previously and I found some of the content of his books hard to read. While I do like his world building, atmosphere, and the overall themes of his stories are very interesting, I do not like reading

sa content involving minors. After reading spoilers online I found out that this would not be the only instance of SA of minors in this book so I decided to DNF the book and not read from Bentley Little in the future.

I made it about half way in to this book. I listened on audiobook. I was incredibly board with this book. After talking to some friends who also DNF'd I decided that I would not be missing out if I did not finish the book. I honestly just did not care about the characters. I didn't care about the relationships or the breakups. Even the Taylor Swift references couldn't save this one for me. 

I really wanted to like this book because the premise is such an awesome idea and the cover is really nifty looking. I started reading this one physically and then I tried the audiobook and I just couldn't get into the story. Life is too short to read books that you aren't connecting with. On to the next read. 

I read to 51%. The description of this book made me think it would have everything that I love in a fantasy. I was excited for the games/trials and I was mildly intrigued by the magic system. However, I had a hard time connecting to the characters and caring about the plot.

Craftwise I think this book is done really well. I adore Emily Mcintire. I think she does what she set out to do with this book. The spice is so well written. However, my intrigue in the plot and characters was pretty low overall and I found myself skimming a lot while reading this book. I wish I could have loved this book so I could move on with the series, but unfortunately it was not for me. 

DNF at 80 pages.

Something about this book just wasn't working for me. I picked it up because the cover was giving me perfect snowy day vibes. I was excited to see how wolves played into this world. However, I felt super disconnected with the main character Sena. By 80 pages in I wasn't really invested in what was going to happen to her or this wolf race so I decided to move on to move on to other books.
