This was an interesting foray into the Cast world of books. I picked this up at a local comic book store because I had heard of the author’s name, but I wasn’t familiar with her work. It was very cool learning about the magic system in the House of Night books. I look forward to continuing the series to learn more about these characters.

I loved this book! I love that Max’s favorite super hero is a female. I love that she is physically and mentally strong. I love that she’s more impressive than the boy superheroes. And I really love that Max’s favorite super hero is his mom!

This is a truly beautiful book. This would be great for talking about fears with kids.

A perfect little anthology of the Christmas themed stories from the Little House series. This collection brings nostalgia for simpler Christmas times. I really enjoyed reading this collection as a kick off to the Christmas season.

The illustrations of this book are beautiful. The writing is equally as beautiful. However, I think this would have been nicer if the text was some how cut into shorter sections with more pictures to make it a more enjoyable read.

Over all I liked the book alright and I will keep it in my picture book library.
