This is my second Abby Jimenez book, after reading Say You'll Remember Me. I did not like this as much as the other book. I found Alexis to be a little bit unlikeable at times. Daniel was absolutely the best MMC. I had a great time reading this and I can't wait to jump into my next Abby Jimenez!

I always have a really fun time with Anne-Marie Meyer's writing style. If you're looking for a good palette cleanser book this is a great option. Not much truly happens in the book, but it is fun watching the characters' relationships develop throughout the book. Just be prepared with book 2 because this book does end on a cliff hanger that will leave you wanting more from Miles and Shelby.

The parallels between this book and our current world are so intriguing. I found this book to be a mix between The Passengers by John Marrs, Beauty Queens by Libba Bray and Orange is the New Black. My favorite part about this book is the fact that we are following a regular person and her reactions and life to this dystopic nightmare.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book. It's different than other cowboy romances I've read recently in that we are following 3 different storylines within the same book rather than having dedicated books for each storyline.

Personally I wasn't crazy about Yancy's storyline....until the very end. He's got this mysterious background. I want to know more about what he did, where he's from and where he's going.

Obviously Quinn and Staten steal the whole book. Their chemistry is excellent. I can't wait to see where their story goes from here. I'm sure whatever happens nothing will be easy for these two.

Finally Lauren's storyline with Lucas is super interesting.

The whole book gives me very Friday Night Lights mixed with a soap opera mixed with cowboys vibes and I am here for it.

Thank you to The Hive for a review copy of this book!
