the change from the first to second book needs to be studied??? this is so heartbreakingly beautiful i felt this entire book and romance in my veins. i am a sucker for doomed couples and scarred characters!! the enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers HELLLOOO. rooksage has changed me detrimentally btw i will never heal. AND SILAS AND ROOK??  SOBBBINNGGG. my star crossed lovers that made it out 😭 my lilith and lucifer 😭 OH IM SICK. 

me and this book have a complicated relationship. i like the characters and the dynamics were cute, the blue gangsey banter and found family trope building up 🫂🫂 my favs r def blue and ronan. and the story has so much potential, but i think i just had really high expectations. i think it is one of those series where the first is the weakest but it ends up worth it, but i genuinely did not understand what was happening half the time, especially in the second half of the book!

i can definitely tell this series is like fucking molly. the school setting, characters, found family i love 🫂🫂 u either love this book or hate it, and this book is most def the weakest one and weakest couple in the series, but its still amazing and it ended perfectly to start the second book omg

the fmc was an insanely lovable character and she is literally me in so many depths!! this had so much potential esp w the couple. i felt really disconnected with the mmc and i wanted so badly to eat this book uppp but i just couldn’t. the writing style in this just couldn’t convey to me how the characters really loved each other and i just couldn’t get into their romance, i wish it was more flashback heavy too. if the pacing in this series was better i feel like it could’ve genuinely been an all 5 stars series tooooo!! but the gemmajourneytobias dynamic made me so happy the whole time
