Having heard a lot of good about this series I can't help feeling very disappointed and I won't continue reading it. The premises was very intriguing and promising, but the delivery was very slow pace which i could have live with... But the characters weren't interesting. At least not for me. I didn't care or like, or even truly hate (in the hate the villain way). I just felt very detached from them, and I wouldn't bored, but not really interested in following their adventure and see what will happen to them. I understand how some might like it, but classify this one has a must-read or a all-time classic feel a bit exaggerated in my opinion!

A bit of a unexpected turn with this volume. A volume that was more philosophical, slower, almost no action at all. Not less good because of that, just very different!

Toujours super divertissant.

Not totally what I was expecting. I was expecting something more artistically focus, maybe not a step by step guide but closer to it than this. It has some interesting information on anatomy, but a lot of text vs the drawing aspect of it and those aren’t very well represented for a book for «artist» to have such poor drawing is a bit weird. They had some good one too, some very good one indeed, but those on skeletons weren’t at all. Bottom line, not a book i would recommend, I think there is better one on the same subject out there.

Talking about a book that isn’t talk about as much as it deserves!! This book was great. In term of content, this is in the same categories that 1984 and Fahrenheit 451. Why did i never heard of it before. What is because women writing in the 30s, even more writing science-fiction, wasn’t something very acceptable/popular? Maybe... It could also be because it suffers a bit in the narrative aspect. I said it was similar to Orwell and Bradbury’s book in the content, not in the writing or narrative. As much as this book was great in term of ideas and concept, and even writing, not in style, but in playing and presenting stuff (like the character always referring to him as We, putting a strong accent on the sense community that’s above all), the actual writing, the prose, the style, eve the structure suffers a lot. It almost could pass as a sketch, a first draw, lack some polish and finish (that’s why i drop one star) but it’s still a very good book that more people should read and talk about. I highly recommend it!
