First I didn't like those illustrations and then the «story» isn't really good either, it «normalized» a behavior that isn't suitable, copying/mimicking a friend comportment. Having a best friend is a good think but wanting to be both so much a like, in my opinion, isn't appropriate so the book didn't please me!

Even if the ending was a bit improbable and unrealistic (even for this kind of story), this was a very good story, maybe not a great book, the writing has some rough time and the characters take some strange decision (the woman are more or less useless and goes between crying and despair, don't get offended girls), but an amazing story and even more so if we consider in was written in the 50's. An old school alien invasion story that had a long influence in both movie and literature. If you like science-fiction, and even horror in some way, this is a classic to read without a doubt!

Whahhh! That was something! Again Lemire! This was dark, psychedelic and a good thriller vibes to it. Different from most Lemire work's I've read so far but amazing work and a really great chemistry between the story/action and the illustrations, everything just perfectly fit together. Awesome!! Now I need to buy vol. 2!

Might be the lowest one of the series so far, still is better then most comic on the market anyway, but it looks to me like it evolve a bit less, lot of mysteries again but not much evolution in the plot, but at the same time of good switch in the story. I have very high standard for this series and for Lemire works that's why I'm expecting so much. Very good the first two volume were better.

Des tonnes, mais des tonnes de clichés et de stéréotypes. J’en ai vraiment assez de c’est écrivain français écrivant des histoires se déroulant aux États-Unis. Pourquoi ne pas écrire des histoires qui se passent en France ou en Europe, pourquoi cette obsession pour le sol américain? Enfin bref, le personnage est inintéressant et l’écriture très française (France) par ces expressions et son vocabulaire. L’histoires est lente, extrêmement répétitives, certains passages se répètent, des grandes phrases écrites pratiquement en double dans deux chapitres différents… Je n’ai pas apprécié cette lecture.

That was so weird! Strange story in every possible way but still good. Kind of show us how space colonization could go very wrong in a not to serious way. Science-fiction meet absurd humor. I can't say I will recommend everyone to read it, but honestly it was a fun and entertaining journey!

Not my favorite cast but I decide to have a lot anyway, I was too curious, but it wasn't for me. Too light, too much humor, this is the first of the new Marvel series, in the Hickman new era, that I won't follow for sure.

Reading this one I've told myself a lot that this would have done a better novel then a comic. Then I went to review it and realize it's actually an adaptation from a novel... Lucky me, a novel I know want to read! But for this adaptation... well obviously a story that was interesting, but too slow in a comic book format for me. The characters are a bit clichés but nonetheless interesting and I think that an actual novel would bring depth to the them. An overall okay comic, but i think the original work might contain something more, something better, we'll see when I'm done with it!

J’aime beaucoup cette série. De illustrations charmantes, une intrigue prenante et des personnages très attachants. Une excellente série pour la jeunesse et bien agréable à lire même pour les adultes.
