Even if the ending was a bit improbable and unrealistic (even for this kind of story), this was a very good story, maybe not a great book, the writing has some rough time and the characters take some strange decision (the woman are more or less useless and goes between crying and despair, don't get offended girls), but an amazing story and even more so if we consider in was written in the 50's. An old school alien invasion story that had a long influence in both movie and literature. If you like science-fiction, and even horror in some way, this is a classic to read without a doubt!
