4,5/5. A very good gripping page turner thriller! From start to finish it gets you and you won't let this one down. That being said, it isn't perfect... The writing is pretty good for a thriller and the character are interesting, even though we fall into some clichés here and there. I also like the psychology part in this book, the agoraphobia, the grief process, and a couple more that were slightly touch, nothing to deep here, but a nice add-on to the story. Were it loose it's 0,5 stars was the lack of originality of some part (the unreliable alcoholic is something we saw so many time since The Girl on the Train...) and some of the twist, some surprise me, but some I saw them coming from the beginning of the book. Even if it isn't perfect, it still a very good thriller, one that I enjoy the most this year (probably would fit in my top five thriller, certainly top ten, but probably top 5...) it's was fun, entertaining and really captivating so that easily erase some of its imperfection. If you love domestic thriller you should read this one!!

I have mixed feelings on this one. First, the art works is really great, I love the illustrations styles and the way it present good boxing action scene. The story is okay, but the boxing story have been written many times and this one just doesn't bring enough new material to make it original. The boxing aspect was good but it's all the problems/stories on the side that make it loose a bit of interest in it. Still a good comic, but it could have been even better with a more original story. But again, big thumbs up for the arts!!

Good anthology of scary stories. A bunch of them were what we call urban legends when I was young and I reminded me of those and it was fun. Not as dark or provocative as I thought with all the talking and buzz it did back then when it was publish. Yes it's dark and it's for kids, but kids can handle it well enough and it can even bring non readers to read so that's great. The illustrations did bring a creepy vibes to the book, they are great. It was fun and a perfect October read!

I like the concept, very bookish, funny and full of potential. But again, a book/author with a good idea, but that lack a bit of polishing in the making. The humor wasn't funny, at least not to me, the characters are totally empty and the writing style was okay, a bit too simple and easy, even for this kind of book, it could have add a bit more style to it. I still would like to see this author, or others, continue working with this concept to offer us, readers, a more finish/polish/well develop book..

Another of those web comic, or kind of, turn into a book. The art was fun, bu the humor and «story» style didn't please me. I don,t have children so maybe parents or soon to be parents might enjoy it more, but other then the pregnancy, I just never related to that couple in any possible way!

A young girl try to train a unicorn. Cute book that can be use as an allegory to explore the training of a dog or something with children. Good but nothing outstanding!

I was expecting more from this one. The universe is interesting, but the story is slow, it's sometimes the case with Hickman, the characters are very clichés, which was a surprise, and the arts is alright, nothing great nor bad about it. Overall a good comic, I'm interested enough to pick the second volume, but if it doesn't get in the second gear, it might be the last. The foundation is good but it lack the wow effect to really hook me in!

I just can't fall in love, get deeply into it and really enjoy, so I'm out. Probably too slow pace for me, probably also something else, but I can put my finger on it. Not bad, just not for me!

Awesome! It felt a bit less «historical» then the previous two, but a really good balance between action and story evolution. We also learn a bit more about some characters, taking them deeper and developing them on. I'm liking this series even more with each read!

A deception! I was expecting way more! Not as good, not even far, as the first one in this series/collection, I hope the third one will be better. Most story aren't scary, not much originality either and just short weird stories...
