The Woman in the Window
by A.J. Finn
4,5/5. A very good gripping page turner thriller! From start to finish it gets you and you won't let this one down. That being said, it isn't perfect... The writing is pretty good for a thriller and the character are interesting, even though we fall into some clichés here and there. I also like the psychology part in this book, the agoraphobia, the grief process, and a couple more that were slightly touch, nothing to deep here, but a nice add-on to the story. Were it loose it's 0,5 stars was the lack of originality of some part (the unreliable alcoholic is something we saw so many time since The Girl on the Train...) and some of the twist, some surprise me, but some I saw them coming from the beginning of the book. Even if it isn't perfect, it still a very good thriller, one that I enjoy the most this year (probably would fit in my top five thriller, certainly top ten, but probably top 5...) it's was fun, entertaining and really captivating so that easily erase some of its imperfection. If you love domestic thriller you should read this one!!
